What's a good brand to treat ticks and fleas for dogs?
Comfortis is great but read up on it first because some dogs don't handle it well.
I just changed from comfortis to bravecto. Comfortis is good - used it for yourself years but bravecto claims to prevent ticks. Its expensive though. About $40 for 1 tablet which = 3 month treatment. Thats for a 10 to 20 kg dog
Just took the plunge and bought Comfortis so hopefully it alright. Also I heard the flea collar works as well so bought that too.

Serious question: Do you notice any real difference in feeding your dog Science Diet vs a cheaper (eg. Super Coat) dog food? $130ish vs $60ish per 15kg bag (before coupons) is a big difference. Just wondering if it is worth it.
When we got the little guy, he had been fed Coles dog food (beef with rice - $12.99 for 8kg). Size wise he was fine but his fur coat looked a dark rusty brown than black. Fed him Science Diet for about a month and the fur colour turned black with a pretty good sheen to it. I'm not sure what else it helps with, but reckon its better in the longer term + got a thumbs up from the Vet who said it's a good food for the life of the dog..

I use budget pet products, my pet warehouse, or pet circle. I have to purchase royal canin sensible medium. I can usualy get it for about 100 if i shop around. Petbarn come in at 95 with the extra discount once i get the prder over 150. I stand corrected.
Agreed. Lots of other stores are cheap, but not as well known. People just love % discounts + free shipping and eat it up. Pet Barn and big retailers know this. Hence why they keep doing it.

Fiar enough. Discounts on discounts, well, always going to be a good deal. I was more thinking some of their normal everyday prices, I've seen aren't always the best deal.

last time i bought from them the courier must've ninja'ed up to the front door cos the only evidence he'd been there was an attempted delivery card, despite 2 people being home, and it ended up with a 70km round trip to pick the stuff up 2 days later… the local petbarn is less than 2 km's away from my place… maybe these petbarn deals aren't quite working out for me :-)
