Bose QuietComfort Qc20i $299 at Bose Perth

130

Went to the store to verify a counterfeit pair of QC20i that I purchased from Boom Beats online. Friendly staff at Bose Subiaco helped to write a letter saying that they were copies since they noticed it straight away. Will dispute with PayPal and get my money back from Boom Beats. I should have googled them before I bought from them as there are many threads on Whirlpool

Bose staff told me that they have it on special as well for $299 down from $399 so I bought a pair to replace these counterfeits. Their online store doesn't have the prices marked as $299 though but recommended to go and check the store out for more deals.

EDIT: Don't forget if you have an AMEX card and sign up to the offer, if you spend more than $195 at a Bose store, you get $25 dollars back from AMEX which makes the earphones $274.

EDIT 2: Just checked and the following stores are not eligible for the $25 cashback from AMEX. T&Cs

Thanks OP. How are these? Are they convenient to bring around?

    • I bought these as a second pair for backup.

They've got a carry case to bring around and you can use the headphones without noise isolation if the battery runs out.

Definately worth the buy I use them on the plane all the time.

      • without noise isolation if the battery runs out.

Without nose cancellation if the battery runs out.

    • Not OP but these are the best headphones I've ever owned. They're incredibly comfortable (can keep them in for hours without discomfort) and make long flights bearable.

  • wow, it's rarely seeing that Bose Store discounts this model earphone, I figure Bose gonna launch their new gen of QC20 later on?

    • There's already a new version (series II). This price is for the series I. I don't think there's much of a difference though.

  • These are great. I got mine for around $300 as well.

Did these go up in price or something?
I got them for only $220 with that David Jones deal last year. Either way, they're the best noise cancelling around you can get. I also have the Sennheiser PXC 450 and the Bose QC25 headphones. Out of the 3, end up taking this qc20 99% of trips simply because of its packability compared to bulky headphones. I find its actually better than the headphones at noise cancelling, and nearly as comfortable. The headphones are only used when i have those super long flights or where luggage isnt an issue. The Bose has the edge over sennheiser for noise cancelling but the sound quality in these Bose are below par with sennheiser. These will ofcourse sound way better than the ear plugs that came with your iphone but make no mistake, they will not sound as crisp and punchy as non noise cancelling earphones.
