This is single handily the best chocolate currently available in Australia. I have no issues paying the $4, so I was elated to find it at $2 and have Subsequently stocked up.

Been to a few stores in Vic and they have all been on sale.

half priced chocolate - that's all I have to hear

What flavours are nice? Anyone care to share?

    • Depends what you like. I prefer dark chocolate and my personal fave is the Peruvian one, but I get equal amount of the Venezuelan… He also has milk chocolate , white chocolate etc

the white chocolate is delicious, and it's proper chocolate with minimum 36% cocao solids (most "white chocolate" has no cocao solids at all).

try it, it may change your opinion on white chocolate! (or it may not…take it with a grain of cocao!) :)

        see here:

        • Was going to avoid the white altogether but now curious

          @piggyfund:

it is still a very sweet chocolate, so if you aren't much of a sweet tooth, you may still not like it…but you'll like it more than regular white chocolate for sure!

if you do give it a go and don't like it, you could always use it to cook/bake with! :)

we made white chocolate and dried cranberry shortbreads over christmas, and they were absolutely delicious!

I like the white one, it is very different from the other whites. It was 50c at my local store, short expiry date.

We bought a heap of these recently and nearly all gone. Must stock up again. Thanks OP.

What makes this chocolate so special? I've tried it and I see nothing special in it, certainly not worth the price.

Read the article and watch the series… It's all part of the experience understanding what you're eating and how it was made.

These are outstanding - in particular the milk of the gods and the Peruvian dark

I bought the milk chocolate last week, but I think that someone swapped the packages just to be a troll, and I ended up eating a dark chocolate. Nothing special IMO

    • Just curious - Didn't you read the pack before buying it even if it was placed in a wrong box? I will be more careful accordingly as I can't eat dark chocolates. All for milk ones.

      • It wasn't placed in the wrong box, just the chocolate inside the pack was changed. I bought the "Milk of the Gods", but ended up eating some other, may be the "venezuelan gold".

        I still prefer lindt.

Full respect to the OP - and I accept the price is well below the exorbitant RRP - but I do not perceive $2 for 50g chocolate as a bargain. I got a 150g pack of their Lime Chili Caramel Black Pearls last year reduced to $1.50 from about $11. They were acceptable but I expected something better.

  • Easily the best high quality chocolate around. I love dark chocolate and the Peruvian and Venezuelan ones are my favourites. The orange flavoured dark chocolate one is good too. The regular price is pretty steep for 50gms but it's so cocoa-rich that a little bit goes a long way. This is the cheapest I've seen it being sold for and it's been on special for the last few weeks so I've been stocking up too. Glad to see it's on special for another week!

    • Well, "being cocoa-rich" justifies the high price for dark chocolates but for the milk chocolate variant, it's too high a price considering the cocoa % in it.

      • Can't vouch for the milk chocolate variants. I don't waste my money on milk or white chocolate, regardless of brand.

        • Well, you don't but many in this world love milk chocolate as the dark one tastes 'bitter'.

the Willie's white chocolate is legit chocolate though, with >35% cocao solids ("36% minimum"), unlike any other white chocolate (which generally doesn't contain any cocao solids at all!).

i am a white chocolate fan anyway, and love even the crappy white chocolate…but this stuff is legit delicious!

        • @virhlpool: Ah yes. The world would be a bland place if everyone liked the same thing. For those who don't think this is a good deal for a premium chocolate, keep calm and move on to your next bargain.

Meanwhile, I'll be over at Woolies :-)

      You should've posted the deal! you would've saved me .50cents! x 20

Sorry, it's not cheap but I suppose it's a deal for those that like it.

  • Bought some bars today, enjoying it. First time trying this brand and I will be back.
