The novel which inspired the musical "Wicked" is on sale at the Kinokuniya Bookshop in Sydney for A$24.94.
I bought a copy over the weekend, and they still have quite a number left on display.

This is a limited edition hardback book (definitely not the paperback version) containing 2 complete novels by Gregory Macguire: "Wicked" and "Son of a Witch".

A search on Booko.com.au has only returned 2 results, with the cheapest priced @ A$39.15 (ex. delivery).

If you do not live in Sydney or are not able to get to Kinokuniya Bookshop in the city, I think you should be able to order it online at their website. Shipping cost is: A$7 for Sydney Metro and A$12 for the rest of Australia (which is still a little cheaper than the store listed on Booko).

      No, not really. Its the adult version of the play. The musical is dumbed down and a lot of the subplots are removed. But overall i found it a bit tedious and drawn out.

      Son of a witch was no better.

      And now there is a third in the series…

        The 3rd book is much the same and he's now writing book 4!
        His take on Cinderella in "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" is better.
