What Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker under $200 to Buy?

Hi Ozbargainers.

Looking at mounting a speaker out near the pool.

Will be used once a month. Want loud enough sound to cover 20m, not so fussy about the top quality of the beat but want something reasonable not to hate music.

Bluetooth and Aux, usb is a bonus.

Will be away from the water so waterproof is not a must, but bonus.

Can spend more but don't really wanna spend more than $200.

Any recommendations?

JBL Flip3, can be bought for under $100 and it's splashproof. I have a pair and they sound great.

    • Would they cover 20m radius outdoor easy?
      Thanks.

Edit: Just looked at some reviews and most people reckon its great for a small to medium room.

    • Where for under $100. I see about $130 the lowest?

      • "Can", I think s/he meant when on special etc.

      • Yeah Harvey had them for $98 at one stage. They were out of stock but JB Hi-Fi priced matched so I bought two. StaticIce has them priced at $107.

  • I have a JBL Charge 2+ and its freaking awesome. The battery life is monstrous and you can power devices off it.

    • I will hard wire and mount it so battery isn't an issue. Would it cover a large ourdoor area with a good sound quality ( Not the max volume where you start losing quality).
      Thanks.

      • I find it does a good job, pretty on par with the UE Boom 2. You definitely lose bass when going to an outdoor area though.

        • Thanks, will have a look.

  • Funny I am in the exact same boat. Looking for a speaker next to the pool. Will check out the JBL Flip3,

    • Good luck. Let me know what you decide. The flip3 seems too small for the area I want to cover.

    • I bought the sharp Gxbt7, you can find it at $80 on ebay. Hasn't arrived yet.

  • I brought this Braven BRV-1 Outdoor Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black/Cyan) at $69 when it is at offer. Now no offer. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/ipods-docks-fitness/wireless-speakā€¦

It is good enough for my purpose

  • I am looking at the sharp Gxbt7 at $80 (selling between $130-170) seems like a good deal with good reviews, anyone has any experience with it?
