Two days left in Hong Kong and it's raining, What to do?

Hey there.
So I am in Hong Kong, travelling solo and it's horribly wet and raining.
I am staying in Causeway Bay and looking for some stuff to do. Any great suggestions?
Cheers.

  • Go to the Happy Valley Racing Museum - had the same issue last year as you. Tram is pretty close to you.

  • also check out the Hong Kong film archive which is a few stations down towards Sai Wan Ho - some times they have exhibitions on.
i usually found in HK if its raining in one spot it wont be in another so jump on the MTR or ferry and go somewhere else :)

    SHOPPING!

In Causeway Bay, you can visit the Eslite Bookstore at Hyasan Palace (same shopping centre as Apple & Gap). It's the biggest book store in HK. 3 floors of books, great variety, many in English, as well as beautiful stationary…worth a look?

Watch a movie at Times Square?

Or take the MTR to another part of HK…most MTR stations have direct link to a large shopping centre, so rain or shine doesn't matter.

    • I was there yesterday, the bookstore is beautiful!
I tried so hard not to buy everything! Haha

I would have a few extra meals. Eat for those of us who can't be there!

Go to Tung Chung factory outlets, it is a huge shopping mall.

Buy that umbrella and go to very local small street restaurant for lunch/dinner at Mong Kok. Don't care the rain and stay for the night market.

    Eat at Spaghetti House.

Wonder around at the huge luxury shopping mall at Ocean Plaza at TST and visit the Peninsula Shopping mall as well.

If it is not crazy windy take the ferry from TST to Central or vice versa instead of subway.

  • eat?

  • might help if you tell us what sort of things you are interested in……..

cant believe you're struggling to find something to do in HK. Rain hail shine, HK is one of the most "happening" places on earth :)

  • Most of HK is in doors. Heaps to do and see. It's almost just a step outside. Stuff the rain. You don't have much time left to explore

  • Go to the library and read wsr and peace by Leo yolstai in honkanese

  • Titty bars

  • Sleep ?

  • Login to HKBargain, and don't move from your room until you are ready to catch the taxi/train to the airport.

  • Afternoon tea in a posh hotel :)

  • Catch the train to Shenzhen. Get a massage. Eat a meal. Stock up on shopping. Visa at border if you need.
Or stay in Hong Kong and get some clothes tailor made. If you don't mind getting wet, go for a hike. Some awesome walks in Hong Kong.
