Futu Online eBay Delivery Experiences

Hi Ozbargainers,

Just wanted to find out about your experience with Futu Online. I bought a pre damn expensive laptop two days ago thanks to the 20% deal. However, I have yet to receive a shipping tracking ID.

Given that I opted for express courier delivery, I assumed that I would've at least received a email saying that my order has been shipped, but all I've received so far are payment confirmations from two days ago.

Is this pretty normal with Futu Online?

    The ebay sales put a huge strain on their abilities to get orders shipped.

    Futu Online is associated with Shopping Express if that helps.

  • Futu and Shopping Express are pretty awful, bought from them twice during sales and did not get anything after a few weeks.

      Not negging you. I haven't had any problems with them, always shipped the next day for my items, always delivered within three business days.
      Bought some RAM, and 4 SSDs from them.

      Maybe you're unlucky :(

  • I bought a Macbook Air from Futu late last year and it was ready to collect at woolies 2 or 3 days later. I don't think I got a dispatch email just a ready-to-collect.

  • Funny your should post this, I literally just sent an email to thier ebay store asking for an update. I ordered a monitor on Monday and it clearly stated the estimated delivery date of Thursday, 4 Feb 2016. Here we are on the 3/2 and there is no sign of a dispatch confirmation making tomorrows delivery less and less likely. I would be more than happy to be patient if the advertised delivery date was further away but I'm simply expecting them to be close to their ETA.

  • FYI. Futu are obviously processing stuff as they have just shipped the SSD I ordered at the same time. Still no eta on the monitor or reply to my email query.

  • First time ordered from them and received delivery in 3 days. SE was fast, too.

  • I ordered an Asus Zenbook on Mon 1/2/16, with estimated date for collection at Woollies of 4/2.
    No intimation from them, sent an email on 5/2 Fri for an update. Got reply on Mon 8/2 that it is not in stock and delivery can be made only by end of this month. When I purchased it they showed 2 in stock. I can't trust them now. It's a 6th gen i7 8gb, 256gb ssd for $1279. Dell xps 13 is now available with 6th gen i5 and 256gb ssd for $1620.
    What do you say guys should I cancel the Zenbook and buy the Dell or wait for the Zenbook?

    • Funny that on the same day I posted this thread, I received a message from Futu that my order was dispatched. Arrived within 2 days from then.

      I know the Dell xps is a really decent laptop and I've only heard good things about it. Though you are paying an extra $350 for what I'm assuming is for the 4k res, infinity display and touch screen (maybe?) - whether it's worth it is up to you. However, the dell does have a lower tier cpu (though the difference is probably negligible if you aren't doing cpu intensive tasks). If you can't wait till end of the month I'd go with the Dell, it is a beautiful laptop.

    I bought a Crucial SSD on the 15th March on eBay, 'Estimated delivery 18th-22nd' and here I am on the 30th with no sign that it has even been shipped yet. I've had a case open with eBay for a week already with no response.

    Not impressed. They may be busy, but surely responding to an undelivered item in eBay doesn't take that much effort. It won't be long before I get my money back from Paypal - even if it does eventually turn up.

    • Today I have finally been given a tracking number, no doubt because eBay kept sending them reminders.
      The tracking number doesn't even record it as being sent. SIXTEEN DAYS JUST TO PUT IT IN THE MAIL.
      I am fuming. I've never dealt with anyone on eBay that slow.

        Parcel arrived today, but the tracking number was never activated. There must be a German word for a disappointingly pleasant surprise.

  • Paid on 2/6 by Paypal for a dell monitor deal. I've been waiting for 12 days and still haven't got any delivery advice.

  • I ordered the Dell U2414H on 2/6 from Futu Online and it still hasn't shipped. Messaged last week and they said they'd send on Fri or Tues (yesterday). The experience reminds me of dealing with chinese web stores, the majority of customers are happy but good luck if there is a problem. I still want the monitor as the price was good so won't be requesting a refund yet, but won't buy from them again and will be leaving bad feedback.

    • So have gone and had another look at the listing for the monitor. Since the sale started Futu Online have sold 67 units at the discounted price, that's $17,956 of customer's money or without discount $22,445. I'm not sure if Ebay covers the discount or the seller or a bit of both. Either way on this one item they have had a nice deposit in their account and you'd think they could take the time to send one email to explain what the situation is. Also considering Dell no longer lists this item on their website I'm interested to know where they are going to find this stock to cover these sales. Worst Ebay seller I've ever transacted with!

      • I should add no-one has left any feedback for this item except one neg for not received so I'm assuming none of the 67 orders have been filled.

        • I'm seeing a patter here. Maybe they only do this for heavy items like monitors?

          I ordered a philips 43" and really hoping to get it. I want the product not my money back. :(

  • Bought the Archer D7 on Friday night. Shipped to my place on Tuesday morning. Extremely pleased with the speed.

  • Well not everyone's happy..one customer has just left bad feedback for 6 different items, they pretty much have double their monthly average -'ve 2/3rd's in. My bet is they lose 0.1% +'ve by the end of the month.

  • Well after making me wait 18 days and twice giving me false assurances that my monitor would be dispatched 'soon', the delightful Futu Online has cancelled my order without explanation. Worst customer experience ever!

  • Futu online apparently only allow buyers to purchase 1 item every 10 days. Useless store if you're trying to build a PC

  • I placed my order yesterday afternoon. My order got dispatched today and I was notified via email with an invoice and tracking number. Some of the negative comments got me worried there. If my order doesn't arrive by next Tuesday, I shall have no internet access on Wednesday.

  • So far no issues with futu, bought micro sd cards, ssd and most recent got a graphic card on the 11th, arrived today.

  • Anyone know if these guys are actually based in NZ or do they ship from Aus?
