Best Reward System from Hotel Booking Sites

I currently use hotels.com to book my hotels for work. I use hotels.com because every time I accumulate 10 nights of bookings I get a free night.

I stay in random hotels in metro Aus + NZ and only spend around 100 - 150 p/n where possible.

Is there a another booking site that people use which has a better reward system?

Personally, I like Orbitz's system. I find their prices (in US dollars) are consistently cheaper and they almost always have a 15% off coupon code on their website. If you use the app, you get 5% in orbucks that you can use for your next stay, I like getting the benefit sooner. Their prices almost always work out more than 5% cheaper than hotels.com so it is better value in my mind even though hotels.com are giving you effectively 10% on every stay. I gain the most benefit from the best price guarantee which you can claim at any time and they give you a $50 if you find it cheaper elsewhere. This works for me because I don't generally book hotels 10x in a year.

    • I'll check out Orbitz for my next booking. Hotels.com does price match too. In my situation as long as the price is close to the best around work is happy.

  • I just search for the cheapest option - whether it be expedia, hotels.com, orbitz etc. Most hotel rewards are rubbish in my opinion, so i try and find the lowest cost per night for the hotel i want. with regards to hotels.com, you dont accumulate "nights" if you use a discount code.

cashrewards on expedia is good too 5.5% back.

Also re hotels.com, you can get about 5% off if booking through cashrewards, similar to expedia which is mentioned above.

Thus if you don't use a code so that you earn your reward nights (which I assume you keep for yourself) then you can also get about 5% as a cashback which you can also keep.
