Google outbax and warranty / returns.
Read the whirlpool forum on same (this: http://whrl.pl/RewxIx ) amongst many others.
    You have been warned.
I have recently taken them to fair trading over DOA product (not a solar panel) and their failure to admit fault or provide address for return.

Whilst the price is good for the description of the product, I am exercising right to neg based on "Major issues with retailer" as allowed per voting guidelines in the wiki.

  • Great… they will possibly send a dead panel…
Just what i wanted to see..

    • I bought a MaxRay 12V 120W solar folding panel kit from them listed for $195 in late December and it appears to work charging a battery but I'm not solar enthusiast or savvy so don't know how to easily test/verify product claims/quality.

  • I Did check his feedback and appeared to be only .9% unhappy… And a Lot of Sales ? 99.1% Were happy… I hope I'm one of them… Digging a little deeper into his feedback now..

eBay feedback for large traders is not accurate! I have been through the process with AGRMachinery (another ripoff merchant).
They will remove negative feedback with a complaint from the seller, worse eBay will not tell you why your negative feedback was removed and they will suggest that you utilise the forums instead.

I beat AGR but only through luck and a tracking number that PayPal accepted :)

A seller I bought from sold 5000 items, with no intent to send any. He received only bad feedback and still had 74% feedback score. Aliexpress when I checked, was more realistic.

  • I have Told my Wife if She receives Parcel on Monday ( Have been Given tracking Information already Via Email ) to Check and open panel before siging the toll paperwork to accept Delivery. I Cant complain about Delivery times considering its coming from Sydney to vic Country…

You could video the "unboxing" also. I assume you paid by paypal. If "not as described" then cancel via paypal using the video as supporting evidence.

      • Yes. Paid With paypal. Will Recorerd the Unboxing.

@redcreek200: Thanks for your good advise :)

How likely is a courier going to stand there and wait while your wife is carefully unboxing the package while filming the procedure.

Besides, the courier has completed his end of the deal by delivering it and unlikely to take it back as a return to the seller without being paid for it.

      • "Just hold on Mr Courier, I'll unbox the panel and hook it up to a MPPT and power meter and then we'll wait for a sunny day. I'll go make up the guest room in the meantime."

A long long time ago in a country town a long long way away, as receiving dock employees for Woolworths Big W, we were instructed to hand-write "received subject to inspection" alongside our signature on the consignment note, and to keep a copy of the note.

The courier won't wait around while you open and fiddle, but I guess the "subject to inspection" might help a little if you want to argue after the fact.

"German Certified" is a label for muppets.
"Manufactured to German Standards" is a statement for muppets.
"Can provide poawer to all standard electronic appliances and tools" is a statement for muppets.

Beware the German certification is not correct. They spec their 120 watt panel as 18v whent it is 14V as it consists of 28 segments at 0.5 volts. An 18v panel will have 36 segments. What true certification would allow that. They are knowingly trading panels that are unfit for purpose. Ebay removes feedback without recourse to poster and no record of ever being posted. Does not even go in the revised feed back total. Shonky trader.

probably same certification that vw used for their emissions :D

  • Panel Arrived today While Both myself and wife were away getting Baby scans ( Wife - not me ), Toll have left it in My garage ( have agreement to leave parcels in safe spot with delivery drivers due to amount of deliveries I get for Business ) Box had some slight damage but have taken photos and small video before unboxing….
Slid it carefully out of box and leaned it on the side of my Shed facing sun. ( Beautiful day - No Clouds 39 Deg C according to the temp guage on my decking..
Have connected up and checked Volts … Will attach Some here for you to see.
I guess I still need to connect a solar regulator and measure Amps somehow…

OK now to work out how to check amps Somehow…

  • So if I am Correct Watts = AMPS X Volts..
So 18.62 Volts x 9.1 Amps would Equal around 169.442 Watts..

I Hope that is about right..
    its a 200watt panel.
Temp outside is 39.4 Deg and full sun - No Clouds..

I would Assume at such a hot tempreture it wont be as efficient ( Burnt my hands trying to hold it. )
