seems Skyscanner have a deal going with BYOjet which makes them a little cheaper.

    • Yes, BYOjet has $0 card fee when using a VISA DEBIT card.

Iwantthatflight.con.au has the same prices - just select POLi or BPAY as your payment options. Sky scanner only displays the absolute cheapest payment option.

More good price on flight tickets to USA.

So I will save about $1000 with air ticket now to USA, but I will have to spend extra $2000 during my stay there due to crappy currency exchange rate. Hmm, decision, decision…

    • +1

Can't do much about the exchange rate unless you know it will go up and if you do please get into forex trading and buy me a new Mustang :D.

      • The perpetual question is not if it will go up, but where is the bottom. But then fork it in any case.

Does any1 know if u can use qantas ff points to upgrade these tickets to business?

Or are they not eligible due to being a sale?

    • Just commenting so I get a notification, as I'm curious as well

    • From recollection all Qantas tickets are eligible TO APPLY for an upgrade to 1 class higher but you will not know the results until a few days/hours before the departure time. The applicants will be ranked based on status tiers and fares purchased, etc. If someone else knows more details or correct information please do share.

      • I think he meant not as a free upgrade but using your Qantas FF points to upgrade to Business from the basic seats, correct me if I'm wrong

        • I am on the same page as you, but probably did not make myself clear in the reply. I will update it accordingly.

      • +1

Edit: When you apply for an upgrade, it will cost QFF points. I will also add that the good thing with Qantas upgrade is even the deeply discounted fares are eligible for upgrade (unlike other airlines say Singapore Airline), and also the points required are quite modest.

        • sweet.. thanks for the update :)

    • +2

The answer is no. These tickets will be classes as "sale"or "red e deal"so will not be able to be upgraded as they are not included in the farebuckets that are upgradeable

Seconding this. Found this out recently. Tried to upgrade a sale fare to business using FF points. Was told that as it was in an un-upgradeable bucket I'd have to pay the difference to change it to a non-sale ticket and then apply my FF points to upgrade.

      • untrue. would be eligible for upgrade 1 class to Premium Economy. Not possible to go economy -> business.

Still hanging out for a UK flight deal :(

    • Best prices you will get will be either side of Jun - Aug as it's european summer. Aim to go on a shoulder season!

    • Me, too. The best that there has been lately is ~$1120 to Paris, or Melb to London on Royal Brunei for around $1250. Neither of those are great deals.

      • hi rep, will there be any better deal to UK soon? i'm looking forward to go there around end March.

  • How do you get to that page on IWTF where it shows a bar graph of the days and flight prices?

    • @jdogg, you want to select the "price chart" option in the date selection field.

  • any body know when this deal expires?

    • 15th February.
