  • Do you need playstation plus to play ESO on PS4? The EB webpage only says you need internet connection.

    • I would say only internet. Good find yeah you need the PSN+.

    • Iirc.. you need ps+ to play it.. They used to do subs then they stopped and now use ps+.. someone else might be able to confirm that..

Yes, you require a PS+ subscription for ESO to be able to play it online or any PS4 multiplayer content online, unless it specifically states otherwise.

Do I need a PlayStation Plus membership to play The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited?

Yes. As with any standard multiplayer game on the PlayStation 4, both an internet connection and a PlayStation Plus membership are required to play The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. However, ESO Plus membership is not required to play the game

Guess I'm not getting it then

For those that have TESO, is it actually worth playing?

    • +1

No, its laggy and lacklustre. Bought it on launch to pay with some friends and we were all terribly disappointed after a week hence the price. It has a pile of issues that were never even fixed for the PC version which has been out for a lot longer.

      • Urgh, not good to hear. I'm might give it a skip then. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm having great fun with it, though apparently what I'm playing now and what was presented at launch could be considered two different games.

There are only two servers, based in US and EU so lag is to be expected, but that's par for the course with MMOs really.

Haven't played PvP, but the PvE is fun and if you pay attention to your build, you can punch above your weight quite easily.
Plenty of content without a sub, been playing a week without hitting a restriction of content.

Community is ok, graphics are great though some have been complaining of low frame rate in towns with AMD chips, but I've never encountered issues with my nvidia card.

Yes, there's still some tweaking to be done, but again, another MMO fact of life.

  • its fun but because of the complexity in builds, make sure you choose your original character wisely

i chose an orc templar and later found out its the worst race to pvp with

Suddenly they have more post apocalypse editions of mad Max? So low, eb. So low.

    • Seem to be all gone now. We're only available to pick up in a few stores.

It was $38 on mad Monday but they took it down while the site crashed.
