  • Thursday at grand prix use to be free

Just watch it on TV for free

    • +1

      indeed…
I hope you post on the next travel deal to just watch travel videos on youtube for free also

      • -1

It's LIVE coverage, and you get to see more of the race.

Have you ever been to the Grand Prix? You hardly see any of the racing and manoeuvres, and miss most of the crashes…

        • +1

          yes I have
while you may see less of the race (though if you have good seats you have a large screen directly opposite from you showing the tv coverage without the annoying Ch10 commentators)
Part of the experience is being there, just like many LIVE events

          @SBOB:

I've been. Don't need that 'experience' again.
Food and drinks are a rip off too.

Much rather enjoy the race at home. Best seats…

From the person posting deals on AFL tickets, I think you need to be a little more consistent in your complaints

  • Well known as a favourite of F1 teams and drivers alike - haha yeah sure. Discount tickets for such an event is a sign of where it's at lately, even with an Aussie driver in the field (albeit with no chance).

Pity the organisers, it's not their fault. It's happening all over the world. Sucks, I enjoyed making the trip.

    • Im sure most drivers do like it as they all say its a great place to start the season.. its essentially a holiday to start their year

attendance numbers wouldn't be helped by the fact that its essentially no longer watchable on free to air tv, and therefore interest in casual viewers drops

(though they have GA discounts every year… the F1 is much better watched from a grandstand and those ticket prices always remain relatively constant and always appear to sell out)

      • That's not what is causing attendances to drop, it's the rule changes. European races are empty. The whole sport is in a bit of limbo at the moment.

  • Amazing to see standard prices are cheaper than Clipsal 500 too.

  • 'Handling charge of 5 bucks' what handling..?
