Is it a seeded or seedless one ? Either way it is a good deal. It would be a steal if it was a seedless one.

    • +6

      No mention of that
I'll update you when I'm enjoying my $1watermelon later today

    • +2

      Only who is greedy,
would mind if it's seedy ;p

    • +3

      They are seedless
      😋 yum

Pos vote for cute watermelon graphic in OP.

  • Pricing error at this store… someone got their units mixed up.. kg vs ea

    • +1

I doubt it because on the receipt is says "Melon Watermelon Whole"

      • Yeah it specifies the descriptor 'whole' to distinguish in their system if the watermelon is sold as a 'whole' or as a half or cut. That way they can have different pricing levels for each 'type' of watermelon…

        • -1

If that was true then it would ask for a weight at checkout, which doesn't seem to be the case since it doesn't have a weight on the receipt.

  • +3

Omg. Going to go check it out shortly

  • +4

For $1 can wear the skin on my head. Thanks op

  • Will try and test this out. Saw it per kg in Toronto, NSW

  • Let us know if it's same price elsewhere so I can update the post

    How many bytes per dollar?

    • +1

Cheaper in terms of megabyte/dollar than any of TA'S hard drive or SD deals!

  • +1

I went to Chullora & it was charging me $1 per KG :(
This was over an hour ago.

    • +1

Did you scan the barcode on the melon

I was just in punchbowl nsw and ww are selling them for $3.60 each (says average 60¢ on the label)

      Still great price at $3.60

      • There was no barcode, I was trying to buy the unwrapped 'fresh' one, it had $1/KG on the sign.

I just went back and read some of your previous comments - I hadn't realised you got the wrapped one!!! such a fail :(

        • Hi I didn't get the wrapped one. It had a sticker with a barcode on it. It may have been a pricing error if scanning the barcode doesn't work anymore.
However if you can get to punchbowl there selling whole watermelons for $3.60 as I mentioned below

        • @CandyMan:

thanks CandyMan, mine didn't have any any stickers on it that I noticed but I was pretty over-excited so may have missed it. Too late now anyway, thanks for the post regardless!

I can confirm that it was $1 per kg by weight scale.

Oh man, we blew two watermelons up during xmas holidays (rubber band method), one was $8 and the other $7. At a buck for one entire watermelon I could have bought many more rubber bands instead!

  • Not any more. Read strawberrybug's comment above.

  • heaps better value than the mango slurpee deal!

  • Your woolies reward number is showing in your receipt. unlikely anyone would do anything with it but if i were you i'd remove it

    • +3

Literally useless since the change, till now I didn't get anything from it so no one else will

      • +1

I got $15 with $95 spending in a week including opal recharges. Not bad at all. Now I have $20 credit plus $10 spent already.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Bought it yesterday afternoon, so cheap at $1 especially for seedless and it was delicious too. Thinking I should have bought 2 now.

  • I'm late to the party but what's the typical lowest to highest weight range for a watermelon?
