    • wow… just read that… i was thinking about buying a monitor as well… i'll have to rethink it now

I'm not so fond of their $3 service charge/handling fee whatever its called, for pickups and in-store purchases either. Paying an extra $3 for a $5 item from their bargain bin is a little rich…. I haven't voted though as this deal is for free shipping.

    • +1

We do not have the $3 Handling Fee anymore for pick up…. since last year November

      • Glad to hear that. I may pay the shop a visit again.

      • That's good to hear, shame it wasn't done sooner as I copped that fee several times.

Been burnt in the past for a pickup item being charged $3 and then it turns out the monitor had a bruise from transportation, And you refused too exchange and item 3 hours old So i ended up having a bad quality monitor and waiting for the Manufacturer to help me cause you refused too help

Ahaha your a joke and I would never deal with a company with ethics such as those of yours

  • -2

BTW Also ethics aside my - Vote is based on your so called specials

    Billion 7300GX

    Mwave $229.95

    $159 HERE http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Billion+7300GX&…

    2Gb DDR2 800Mhz

    Mwave $73.80

    $39 HERE http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=2Gb+800Mhz+DDR2…

So not only are you dealing with a company that has no customer ethics, they are a rip off on even there specials

    • +12

      I think you are delusional.
The $159 is likely out of stock and mwave are indeed the cheapest in NSW WITH stock.
People like you are extremely annoying because you think the lowest price on staticice is the equilibrium price.

  • i've been buying from mwave for a long time, 9/10 the service and price are good.

like every online stores, they have things that are cheaper than others, and things that are not.

you if look at every web store in australia, 1 or 2 of the sale items are rip offs …

i guess that's why there is staticice.com.au for you to compare prices.

i just had a few RAs done, the service is good i'd have to say. maybe they were bad before, but certainly not too bad now.

    • Whos problem was it when you bought something from them and it turned out to be used harvey norman product??

      • it was mwaves, but they called me straight away and offered exchange.

I couldn't be bothered, so told them don't worry.

        • +2

And you're still happy with them after that? wow. Each to their own then. I know I would be severely peeved off if I bought something new and it arrived second hand and it had scratches all over it.

          • @Pizza The Hut: i think this could happen to any online store or any store, at least they offered an exchange. maybe i am just too easy going as you said. i would be really pissed off if no remedy offered.

you can't really tell from the packaging. worse happened to newegg due to doggy suppliers? maybe mwave had doggy suppliers too haha…

        • +1

          forgot to add,

at least there is a service team for you to deal with in mwave,

try those stores that often shown cheapest price on staticice, you almost have no one to deal with. you will get the same guy for invoicing / logistic / product support / RA etc etc … (RAs will be more of a pain too).

if they sell at officeworks price, then i will have a much higher expectation from them.

(i think someone will try to proof me wrong again by find something from officeworks that's cheaper than mwave hahahaha)

and and and … i don't work for them either. maybe i am just lucky that i haven't had too many problems with them.

  • I had deal with them once, although the item sent to me was wrong, it wasn't totally their fault(after several communication with the manager, it's their supplier who sent them the wrong product, they edit the web site immediately)

mwave offer me 2 options, courier return or refund some money due to the mistake, I chosen refund. I was very happy in the end for getting a quality item @ a unbeatable bargain price!

like villemus said, you can't just take the sale item and compare to SI, there're things that are cheaper & things not cheaper than other!

and hell yeah, I don't work for them, I'm in VIC they and SYD based! :-P

  • website is quite laggy :(
if anyone finds good bargains post it here with links!

    • Too many people online at the moment… Sorry about the slowness (I have inform the manager to fix this issue)

But we usually have everyday good specials on:

Specific stocked Hard Drives (i.e. Samsung 1TB $95)
Specific stocked External HDDs (i.e. Iomega 1TB $109)
Specific stocked LCD Monitors (i.e BenQ Monitor $229)
Specific stocked Notebooks (i.e Acer i3 Notebook $789)
      Specific stocked Motherboards
      Specific stocked CPU
      Specific stocked Video Cards
      Specific stocked RAM

Above is just from top of my head… but I'm sure there is other good bargains

        • Hi Xception,

Can you please email [email protected] or start an online chat so we can solve this matter for you

          Thanks!

  • I've used Mwave a couple of times in the past year and have found them very competitive. I haven't had an issue with returns/faulty stuff so I can't comment on that side of things, but for price and delivery time, I'd recommend them.

Voted positive purely because free shipping is a good deal.

  • Just bought some memory for my netbook and SD card. Makes it worthwhile now without shipping charges.

  • they should be ok, prices are not the best but with free delivery it works out for most items…

QUESTION: under PC Systems - PERFORMANCE section for both Intel & AMD (http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/system.asp) there is a pic of a case, however that case is not available for selection when configuring these systems, what brand/model is it? (http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/images/_picky/system/S…)

  • High risk no high return no thanks, prices are not competitive anyhow. Glad you are doing something about some of the insane shipping fees.

  • Used mwave in the past - when they've had the cheapest prices. Been happy most times, and one time when they stuffed up, they were actually OK on processing a refund.

  • Never had at problem with Mwave in regards functioning and cost of items.
I was damn piss at the $3 pickup charge since I live less than 8 minutes away and voice my disapproval in store and on the survey they preformed!
ATM I'm ticked off, as far as i can tell there is no Saturday morning pickup anymore. So my option is still only paid shipping or authorize someone else to do it. Also having to fax a copy of my Driver's License and Credit Card front and back is unacceptable. Get the buyer to set a unqiue password for each order that pickup person has to know to pickup the goods.

    BTW.

Q: Can I pick up at Mwave?
A: Yes! You can pick up your orders here at our showroom Unit 5, 1-3 Nicholas St Lidcombe NSW 2141. Please note there is an $3 Handling Fee on all pick up / on spot orders.

  • Used them once and my drive is still working. No issues here.
