[Nuuvem] Pre-Carnival Sale (eg. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor USD $6.94, Wasteland 2 USD $7.71)

110

Some games can be region locked at payment (ie. use VPN), others locked on Steam.

To check if the game is locked on Steam you can use SteamLocks

Sales list with $ prices: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/124jujdbayA-ACgUM5Fxt…

Some examples include:

  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY for USD 6.94
  • Wasteland 2: Director's Cut for USD 7.71
  • Feel free to point out any others in the comments!

(Personally, I used Tunnelbear which is a free chrome extension for VPN, and purchased Shadow of Mordor which activated fine on Steam)

Got Witcher 3 for US$15.99 with PayPal using TunnelBear.

    A shame XCOM 2 is region locked…

Can't seem to buy Vermintide with Paypal.

Nuuvem's different levels of region checking (IP and then sometimes payment info) for every title can be pretty annoying.

    • It is annoying but it could be worse, they could do the highest check level on everything in the store…

  • What are people's experiences with games that must be activated on steam from Brazil region? Does steam ban your account for doing that with vpn?

    • If it can only be activated in Brazil I believe it can only be played while logged into VPN. Please don't buy those titles, Steam definitely doesn't like VPN users.

Most uPlay titles are payment locked. That is you need both VPN and a brazilian PayPal to complete the payment.

    • Correct.. and it's not impossible, just long winded to set up..

  • Thanks. That steam locks is very handy, since Steam Region Lock Inspector site went down a while ago, it's been hard for me to check games.

  • Sweet, bought Lords of the Fallen Deluxe Edition for $8. No VPN was required and the key worked fine.

I picked up Gauntlet, Mad Max, and Lords of the Fallen using a VPN for about $16 USD.

I had included Thief 2: Metal Age, which was released in 2000, and that caused Paypal to fail, removed it and the others went through fine.

Keys activated on Steam in Australia no problem.
