They have a great return policy where they give you a sticker with your order and you just put shirts you don't like back in the mail for free. Great way to figure out the sizes that are right for you.

  • any idea how long this deal is on for? i need to go get measured but dont wanna miss out on the deal!

    • +6

No idea how long the deal in on for but first time I saw it was in Nov last year and I think it has been on since that time. I haven't check now but at that time 3 for $99 deal didn't have free shipping, so it was actually ($99 + $12) / 3 = $37 for 1 shirt. I ordered just 1 shirt but got free shipping so you save only $6 with this deal.

      • How do you get free shipping on 1 shirt please?

        • I just googled different voucher codes, I found 1 shirt for $39 (free shipping), another one was 2 shirts for $75 (free shipping), and this one 3 shirts for $99 + shipping costs.

        • @searedtuna: I tried googling but didn't find any 1 shirt for $39/2 for $75 with free shipping. Do you mind posting the code here (or point me in the right direction)? Thanks.

        • @benandfaith:
My order was a month ago, the codes have expired. This one still works: "CF15" $15 off $75 spend. However they don't have the $39 shirts anymore so the deal is not that great…

    • +2

I've asked them, will let you know when I receive a response.

    • Order a few of different sizes, pick the ones you like and return the rest for a refund.

    • +1

Just measure up a shirt that fits you well now.
I ended up ordering the Extra Slim Fit shirts. I'm not skinny at all, but because I have a bigger neck (44cm), the rest of the shirt is their Slim or Regular is absolutely massive - I don't know who they used as their models, but they must have been as wide as they were tall!
I foudn that measuring up an existing shirt which fits nicely (width of the body of the shirt etc) is an easy way to ensure a good fit for CT shirts.

      • I had the exact same thing happen. When i ordered a Slim shirt, it was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Like bigger than Van Heusen Classic Fit which is pretty boxy

And i AM slim so it was a total fail

        • same for me - I ordered a CT extra slim shirt and received it a couple of days ago. Still felt like a classic fit in other brands so had to return it back to CT

      • I'm a 44cm neck as well, and ordered their extra slim. I still think it is huge (compared to my other shirts), might exchange for a 42cm extra slim & hope I don't have to wear a tie any time soon (or maybe I loose some weight).

    • I've been advised the deal should be on until around June

  • Thanks OP, will definitely try this out

  • +1

Op please include $12.95 shipping in title, thanks :)

  • Does anyone have feedback no how long delivery takes from order ? The website lists within 12 working days but keen to hear real world experience .

    • That's about right, 2 weeks.

    • Sounds about right.

    • My last order only took one week. I was surprised when it turned up. Big plus is these shirt do loooong sleeve length.

  • How do these compare to your standard Van Heusens? I'm assuming they're better?

    • +14

      Much better.

      • +1

        I second mazorn.

      • I agree!

I get free Van Heusen shirts from work, but I choose to buy and wear CTshirts instead.

    • +2

      High quality shirts

The iron-free isn't exactly right. Those shirts still require an iron, but it isn't overly difficult.

As opposed to some shirts where you spend ages trying to get every crinkle out.

      • +1

I've found if you give them a good shake out, use the metal collar inserts, and hang up while still wet (no tumble dry) they don't need an iron.

        • I do all of that - drying on a hanger certainly helps a lot.

But they aren't perfect for me. Still - I am very happy with the shirts!

  • +2

Van Heusens are a rubbish. This deal has non iron shirts which is great.

  • +1

I've bought twice with CT and been more than satisfied with everything. Quality is great and delivery time frames are roughly as advertised. My only bug bear is the extra slim is still not slim enough for me. The 39" neck size in the extra slim fits someone with a waist size around 33-34 inches.

    • When did you order? They have changed the cut recently. I had to get my old shirts altered but the new ones are much better, they fit nicely.

    • +3

39 inch neck (bigger than their 33-34 inch waist) HOLEY MOLEY!

    • I think you mean 39cm neck, 39" neck is HUGE.
I'm a 38cm neck, but the shoulder width (after a few washes and the shirt has had a chance to shrink a bit) is a bit short on the 38cm for me. Otherwise the sizing guide on the website is spot on.
Some more info on sizing men's shirts.

  • +20

Shirts are good, delivery time takes a while but is acceptable.

What shits me is the dishonesty, they're obsessed with thinking they're providing a great deal! I'm sick of seeing the RRP$170 next to shirts that for the last 2 years alternate between $39 and $59 dollars.

    Even this deal! 3 shirts $99 plus $12.95 shipping = 111.95.

    When this promotion doesn't run, they do free shipping over $100 so 3 x $39 = $117.

Hell one time I had a voucher for $10 off, which I couldn't use because the site was already running the 3 for $99 sale and that voided my voucher, in which case i'd love to opt for full price $39 shirts with free shipping, but obviously not possible because of the 'deal'.

At the end of the day, good price for a good shirt, but still, we're not idiots treat us with some respect.

    • +7

But I saved $432.10 on my order!

      • +4

What an absurd thing to put on a receipt! Show me the man that paid $160 for this shirt.

    • Yea, this company employs the dichsmith/house strategy of over pricing RRP and saying hey, we're having a 50-75% off sale, every, single, week.

I'm pretty immune and don't get spurred to buy it now.

      • I used to work at Dick Smith, and say what you want, but something we could/would never do was lie about the previous price. Sales would happen from time to time and prices would fluctuate. That being said, I would never sell a $39 product that the previous week was $45 and use as a selling point 'Oh it USED to be $170 (though it never was).

One time an item dropped from $99 to $54, which was cool, then the next day, it dropped to $52 and all our tickets had to say, 'DOWN FROM $54!' even though it was $99.

        • -1

I'm saying the previous price was so overpriced in the first place, it's a true RRP. I go to DS and I see iPhone 4 charging cables selling for $2 down from 20. 90% off, please mate. It was never worth 20 to begin with.

When did u last work for DS anyway? Maybe u were there when management was different.

        • @cloudy: Ages ago, while with Woolies, I've never really been back haha.

        • Strictly speaking it's not a "lie", but it is very misleading. The way CT does this is to set up an unpublicised section on their website where they initially list their shirts for around $160-200 for a short period of time. They use that as a way of supporting the claim that each shirt's price "was" $160.

    • +1

I was thinking the same thing, is this really a deal?

Good shirts and prices, only a small saving over the regular 'specials' price.

    • +1

Exactly this. It's a saving of $1.69 per shirt. Hardly dealworthy, more like free advertising.

      • +1

Don't mind it. $39 for a shirt of that quality is a deal for me.

  • +1

How do these non-iron ones compare to Uniqlo's easy care shirts? Which one is better?

  • +2

Sorry to bug anyone here, but this is my first time buying off CT and was wondering how you could get the 8% cashback and get the shirts at 3 for $99.

I added everything to cart using the link above then went to cashrewards and clicked go to store. When I clicked on my cart, the price went up to $59/shirt.

    • Safest option would be to open Cashrewards first (I usually do so in Internet Explorer) and log in through there, then click the store… and then edit the URL to include the address above…

      • Were you successful?.. Tried that atleast twice without luck in the past..Cashrewards didn't even track it

        • Each time I attempted my price went up too. I gave up after trying a bunch of times.

        • +1 on cash rewards not working with this code/pricing

  • +3

Heads up - similar comments to others on here, but the fit is really poor if you're slim build

Super Slim was not even close to super slim in every other brand

But they refunded all the money (incl return postage) with no questions, so i have no problem with the company

    • THIS!

Really good quality shirts (for the price). I bought a super slim (even though I knew it would be slightly big given the size chart) and can certainly confirm this. Although I got mine tailored and it is now acceptable.

I am in the unfortunate situation where the size 38 is too small, and size 39 is too big. Admittedly, I am slightly athletic so this is a common problem for me.

And by slightly, I actually mean hugely!

    • Anyone kmow if their slim compares to VanHeusen euro fit ? The VH euro fits me perfectly but I'm apparently too fat for other 'slim' shirts.
I'm a 38 neck and VH claims a 102cm waist for their euro fit and CT claims 99cm for their slim in the same size which would make it too tight. Granted I have the slightest belly but super slim must be like wearing a sock with sleeves! Are these measurements what people are going of when they say the shirt sizes are off ? or just comparing with other makes for a quoted style/size?

      • You will have to check the size but i think you should be ok with Super Slim

Just order them and return for free if you dont like them

  • +1

While CT always have some shirts at $39, this deal covers all their shirts, so there's a bigger range to choose from. I've found that if you use a deal not found on cashrewards' website they won't pay out, but feel free to correct me.
All those people saying CT shirts don't fit unless you buy super slim shirts blah blah, need to have a look at their sizing guide, which is spot on. I've found their 38cm standard shirts are probably a bit bigger than Van Heusens 38cm standard shirts but their slim 38cm shirts are basically the same as Van Heusens slim 38cm shirts.
Their iron free shirts are not iron free, but I have yet to find a truly iron free shirt that wasn't at some sort of cotton-poly blend and/or required delicates cycle or some other nonsense. Iron your shirts people, it's not that hard. Skip the sleeves, if you roll them up they'll end up wrinkled anyway.

    • +2

Yep, their 2015 range onwards is more true to size and accurate.
2014 shirts were like parachutes, the live chat rep explained they reviewed their sizing and changed it for 2015 onwards.
Ordered some shirts and they are perfect.

That being said, unless you are very overweight, I'd still consider only looking at extra slim.
I'm 187kg, 85kg and extra slim 40/41 size fits in a nicely tailored manner.
42 is better for my neck size but gives me a little too much fabric around the waste for my liking.

      • 187kg !!!!!!!!!!!

        • Haha typo. Less 100kg…

          Dammit, I mean 187cm, 85kg.

  • Maybe a good deal, but we don't normally wear a shirt in summer time.

    • +2

      Winter is coming… haven't you heard? :)

  • Just bought a few (3 on sale plus one on clearance for $29). They're good shirts once you know what size to order. Like others here I am not the slimmest person but order extra slim fit and they're comfortable. If you are a really slim person I don't think there are any shirts here that will fit you. Otherwise, with choice of cut, neck and sleeves they're good. This isn't a huge sale by CT standards and these kinds of sales come around often, but comparing CT quality, returns and sale price with most other shirts - CT are excellent value.

  • +3

I love the non iron shirts from CT. However I have came across a few times where people in my office/meeting wearing exactly the same shirt so I've decided to stop buying from these popular online shops or just get plan color ones instead.

  • +2

I'm not buying any and I don't know if this works but there was a code 15AU for $15 off orders over $75. Haven't read through all the comments, maybe it's been mentioned already.

  • -1

How do these compare to country road, mj bale or Rhodes and Beckett?

    • CT shirts wipes the floor with all of them!

      • Lol. Ok. Clearly you don't own R&B.

        • lol and you pay $199 for a shirt?

        • @HarveySpecter:
No. I don't pay full price.

But you should definitely try when you can swing for 60 to 80 when they have a clearance.
Their 2 ply Egyptian cotton is amazing

        • Yea, sorry R&B have horrible quality shirts. Their 2-ply Egyptian cotton shirts are made of the poor quality Egyptian cotton. Have a feel of their lousy crap, which feels like costsavers toilet paper, and then have a feel of real quality Egyptian cotton.

The thing with these cottons, is that there are no regulations. Anything grown in the land of the Nile can be called Egyptian, no standardisations, nor rules/regulations.

Sorry but if you're going to advertise your cotton, only Supima cotton will ever be of an excellent quality that has a standard across the board. All other cottons have to be assessed on a touch-feel basis.

        • @jtsback:
And outside of t-shirts, which business shirts use supima cotton?

        • @sagiballs: I was talking about business shirts, not t-shirts. I know this because I work in men's wear - supima cotton is used by some black label branches of companies such as Burberry and Ralph Lauren (not their shitty green or purple). Brooks brothers also use it on all their business shirts.

        • @sagiballs: note these black label companies I mentioned also use very high quality Egyptian cotton that feel absolutely exquisite. It's soft, flows well, mounds very well to body shape.

        • @jtsback:
Rofl. You work in men's wear hey? So 500USD Ralph Lauren purple is shit hey? But you say Burberry is black label quality? Yet they use cotton blends. And again at also 500 a pop

Then compare to Brooks brothers who sell at sub 100 USD and have 2 shirts in their whole line up that is supima.

No one uses supima cotton because it wrinkles like a bitch. Which is fine for tshirts and my bed sheets but horrible when you want a crisp shirt.

But you wouldn't know this because you probably buy and sell polyester from tarocash et. al

        • @sagiballs: LOL the ad hominem is real. Run along now child who doesn't know the first thing about textiles and design technology or brand histories :)

        • +2

eats popcorn while watching the shirt-fronting

  • Not a fan of their non-iron shirts. I bought two non-iron shirts a while back - one of the shirts were thick and shiny. Probably due to the polyester to make it non-iron.

After finding that their normal price is $39/shirt ($117 for 3 shirts - free shipping), I feel like this saving of $5 is not a bargain.

Will be waiting out for the next TM Lewin $40/shirt deal.

  • Could someone please assist with sizing?

I'm 166cm (5'6"), 73kg, 39-40" chest, 32-33" waist, moderately muscular build (do callisthenics and weights).

I have a fitted TM Lewin 15.5(39)/33(84) shirt that fits quite well. Perhaps a smidge tight in the neck and chest (chest fits fine at rest, but reaching forward and up, get a bit of a pull).

I'm tossing up between 39/84 slim or 40/86 extra slim… which would you recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Definitely 39 extra slim. Extra slim will be closest to your TM Lewin (assuming it's not a classic fit).

      • Thanks!

Got all 3 to try: 39 extra slim, 39 slim and 41 extra slim.

Definitely 39 extra slim is best fit.

Weirdly the ct is slightly roomier in the chest, stomach and significantly roomier in the arms (without being bad) compared to the fully fitted tm lewin 39, even though on shirt detective the numbers suggest the opposite.

        Hope this helps someone.

  • Ordering these is way too complicated; in terms of sizing, I have an M collar/neck, XS chest, XXXS sleeve and, apparently, an XXXXXXXS waist (71.5cm)…

  • Any recommend style?

    • +1

Get one of their plain white twill shirts. They need washing 4 or 5 times to soften them up but if you nail the size they look amazing.

      • Thanks

  • Just got 4 shirts, went to checkout and it says "You've saved $500.10 on this order"

    LOL yeh right!

  • For those that want to order a shirt to try their size use this link www.ctshirts.com/harley

which gives one shirt for 39.95 + free delivery. So if you have to return it, theres no forfeiting of delivery cost.

I wasn't sure about the sizes after reading the comments above about it being not very slim - so was hesitant in ordering 3 shirts but the CT person I spoke to provided me that link so I could order just one shirt… which would at least allow me to check sizing

    • Doesn't work. Still charges delivery fee.

      • the link is 2 months old mate

Go onto live chat on the site and find out. The CT person I chatted to was quite forthcoming with a couple of links/offers and was pretty helpful

Shame the shirts were too wide for me

  • +1

    Thanks OP :)
