Pretty sure all cruzers are 2.0

        including Tom and Penelope ?

Why post a deal with no stock anywhere?

    • There's some in Thomastown

      • +15

hiring a security guard to accompany you though, kills the deal…

      • Thomastown? Do you want to get stabbed or something?

  • +1

Note - max 5 can be purchased. In Sydney, stock appears to be at Alexandria, Auburn, Moore Park. Possibly at more places, but those are the 3 out of 10 stores closest to me that have stock.

  • If you got 16 of these and multiple USB hubs you could make a possibly fast-ish 128gb RAID drive for $48 (+ usb hubs)

Not sure why you'd do that though

    • +3

I like the imagination, but better chance of it confirming HL3.

    • I wonder how fast something like that would be. I plan to do that with some of those cheap 128GB PNY drives on Amazon, build a 1TB array of nice fast storage for shits and giggs, once I can afford it.

might as well buy a 16gb from officeworks

Have you seen the reviews on that thing? lol

  • Thx picked three from Auburn C&C

Picked up one of these a couple of years ago, good price, but be warned… Slow.

  • Handy for sharing out files to friends I suppose

Bought a couple of these last time this deal happened for this exact reason. As expected, many have not returned.

  • Just be aware that these have an entire plastic casing and are fairly flimsy, I have seen many come through my workplace (printing dept at a large stationery retailer) with the bit that plugs into the computer broken. They still work (just), but something to be aware of.

    • I have one of these and left it in my laundry (washing + dryer) before by accident. Works like a charm still.

  • I always think they'll be great for holding different Windows/Office installs. But the speed would make baby jesus cry.

Instead… just basic, short, non-critical jobs.

    • Yeah, I had them for exactly the same thing. This baby cried when trying to do a fresh install… Ma gawd!

    • I payed only $30 for a 64GB Sandisk Extreme @ MSY when it was on sale. I use E2B and keep all the OS ISOs I could want on there, even stuff like XP and Vista for shits and giggs. About half the speed of a SATA3 SSD, but nice and portable. Love it.

  • I bought 30 of these just before xmass at e same price.
Good little drives for giving to people.

      Hi Broden

  • No stock anywhere in Perth :( Shipping is $8 for 1 thumb drive!

    • buy 5 :P same shipping price.

      • Yeah but I don't need 5, 3 at the most except then I may as well buy some locally elsewhere for the same price

  • still plenty of these in my local oficeworks @ 2.73

  • I bought a couple of these a long while back for the same price at HN, seems like a semi-regular thing they do.

Anyway, I can confirm, that for me personally, the read/write speeds on these are great. I know they're only 2.0, but they're by far the fastest 2.0 drive I've ever used, definitely can recommend for the price.

    • Really? There are some of the slowest 2.0 drives I've ever used.

  • good speed on these for usb 2.0

This deal is cheeper, faster usb3, smaller in size and looks better.

Sure maybe if you just happen to at Harvey Norman it might be ok. But it's not the best deal in my opinion.

    • +1

that's expired, they are now $5.97 and they are usb 2.0 not 3.0

  • FYI not bootable
