Get $15 Voucher Co-Op with First ($15 or over) Purchase Via Beepit

70

Fellow Ozbargainers,

Inspired by @victorwilson post last night, I have a compelling offer to share with the group: get a $15 Co-op voucher with your first deal purchase via Beepit.

I'm working on a new, free mobile app called Beepit - it's a mobile deal aggregator, backed by an algorithm to personalise deals shown to you. It's far from a finished product and I'm (very slowly) validating this. The thought of introducing it on OzB came across several times but I decided against it for fear of rejection (I personally don’t feel the product is quite ready).

In any case, I've been running promotions giving away Co-op vouchers to attract early adopters in the last month. Last night, seeing some of you find Coop vouchers relevant, I would like to let my fellow Ozbargainers in on this promotion. So here it is:

What is Beepit?

It's a personalised deal finder. You get presented with deals, swipe right if you liked it, swipe left otherwise (yes, like Tinder :) The personalisation comes from an analytics algorithm which considers yours and other users swipes to make recommendations on thousands of available deals. More info here: https://www.beepit.com.au/

What does it do?

It aggregates various deals from Groupon, Living Social, etc into a single app. I've got several sites but constantly working to get more in.

Why am I doing this?

I'm looking for people to download and use Beepit. This is part of the validation (see if users are willing to use, make purchases, return). I think Co-op vouchers are a great incentive, since it can be an expensive time of year when uni starts and I believe this app is also best targeted for younger (uni student?) demographics (note: I may be wrong, but willing to experiment).

Who am I?

I have an analytics background and Beepit is a project with real-life application of algorithm and real-time offer presentation. It’s early days and I am in the process of validating if this is feasible at all.

So what's the offer?

Get a $15 Co-op voucher on your first deal via Beepit (where the deal is valued at $15 or more).
Simply:
1. Download and register using Beepit
2. Browse for the best deal and make your purchase
3. Email your receipt/screenshot to [email protected]
Note: Naturally being an early-day startup, I'm trying to control my spending so I'm putting a limit on this offer to the first 100 customers only. Max one customer per voucher. This offer expires 15 March 2016 11:59PM - so dont delay!

How does the voucher get delivered?

I will reply to your email with an individual/targeted voucher code. Please keep this safe as it can only be used once.

P.S. I'm working on the next features e.g. logic to automatically curate offers, location based functionality, price filtering, etc. If you're interested to be part of this journey, please drop me a PM.

*P.S.S. This is also my first post on OzB, please let me know if I am putting this in the right place or fully complying with OzB etiquette.

Offer to the first 100 customers only. Max one customer per voucher

  • Are there any min spend conditions on the co-op voucher?

    • Thanks for asking!

I'm not sure actually. I don't think so, except that it can only be used once.

I'll get back to you on this.

      • I've confirmed there is no minimum amount on the co-op voucher.

  • Purchased and emailed :) Any timing on when the vouchers are sent?

Also it might be a good idea to have the app send out a confirmation of purchase as well as from the purchasing site (groupon). Re-enforces the use of the app.

    Cheers

    • Thanks matey!

Please give me till tomorrow (if not earlier) to get the the voucher emailed to you.

Ahh yes. Confirmation email - on my to do list today :) Thanks for the input!
