Belfield on Botany, a Burger & Hip Hop joint, is offering $5 burgers to the first 80 people to check in on the Yelp app (normally $8), Feb 23 at 6PM. Additionally, when checking in you will get a wristband that gets you a free Mountain Goat Beer, Two-Step Cider, Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine cocktails, a $5 Belfield Burger or Mushroom Burger, and a chance at winning 1 of 5 pairs of Kessler sunnies.

Seems like a lot of freebies.

Burgers will be given on a first come, first served basis. $5 Belfield and Mushroom burgers are available to the first 80 people to check in on the night. Please be patient if there are lines, we will do our best to serve as many people as possible but cannot guarantee that everyone that shows up will receive a burger. Get down early! If the venue goes over capacity the door list will be first come, first served.

    "Burgers will be given on a first come, first served basis". So how does it work? If you get there and line up early couldn't you still miss out as people who are also in the area (who might but further back in the line) have faster networks and are thus able to check in online with the deal sooner? So despite you being in the queue near the front you can't access the deal as the allocation would be exhausted on the Yelp app. Unsure how it will work. Last thing I want to do is get there at 4pm and get jumped over by people who arrive at 6pm with faster network coverage! A bit happy the Burger Fuel Yelp deal on Thursday doesn't have an allocation limit (so planning on getting there at 6 even though it starts at 4) but this has more freebies so swings and roundabouts.

      Just check-in before you get there if that's an issue. If it's like any other previous Yelp events, they just look at your phone to see the check-in.

        Thanks for the response, so no point lining up really? I'm guessing once there has been 80 check ins with the offer the Yelp check-in option will disappear. So getting there early is a waste of time as the offer will only become available via the Yelp app at 6pm and has nothing to do with physically standing in line.

    Hi there Juzz – I'm the organiser of the event. You won't get gazumped by other people who arrive there later than you, not to worry. You should definitely download the Yelp app and create a free profile (takes 1 min) BEFORE you come. Doors will only open at 6pm, and once the $5 burgers fro the first 80 people are gone, you can still purchase any food you like from the menu, while still having access to the free beer, cider, and moonshine cocktails, DJ tunes, live instagram printer, and chance to win the sunglasses.
