    will give this another go - last time i tried this though they cancelled my order just before pickup - the explanation was that the item was not in stock - something like "the coles website does not have a live ordering system"

      Sometimes this can work in your favour. Last time i ordered 2 different cartons/cubes of beer during a discount sale. They cancelled one due to no stock but removed the full rrp from the bill so i ended up with one carton for $35.

        They always do this, it's how their system works.

        I've used it a lot in the past when I've happened across an item that isn't stocked, suddenly I'll put in a daily order for the rest of the promotion period and be paying dirt cheap prices (e.g. <$10 for quality wine, <$30 for spirits and slabs of beer).
