    I have three of those for backup purposes of critical files and they work great even after a couple of years. Of course, I have my backups in all major brands HDDs (samsung, WD, toshiba, seagate and PNY). I am crazy about these stuff.

      You have to take into consideration these are cheap for a reason and it might be due to things such as their performance in write cycles and heat dissipation.

      PS: all of my Lexars are running after sh*t-tonnes of re-writes (one from 2005!)…same with my Toshiba branded (though I avoid their HDDs).

          I don't believe your neg was for a valid reason, Nick's use of negative vote was justified. - he substantiated his claims - yours was not… you had one it failed, we all know it happens for mass manufactured products. A high failure rate, as highlighted by Nick would be a valid reason… I had one, it broke. not good enough.

          could have just as easily been:
