Timing for Specials

I wonder if seasoned OzBargainers have any idea on when some of the great sales appear during the year. Naturally the run-up to Christmas is usually the best with plenty of big discounts with the major retailers (DeadSmith, Harvey Norman, JB, Target, Big W) as well as eBay 10-15% off (topped off with cashback).

Are there any other times in the year which is a relatively safe bet for big discounts?

    Unless you like udemy courses, free phone apps, fast food deals and the inevitable jbhifi and ebay discounts, real deals are few and far between over past 12 months

    Expect the next 12 months to be the same

    end of financial year. june 30.

    for clothes, they sell off all the previous range when the seasons are about to change.

    I also wonder if there is a pattern to sales by specific airlines!
