Any Good Deals on NBN Compatible Wireless Routers?

Hi OzBers,

Moving to a another home in late MAR, it's on outskirts of Coramba, which is a village in postcode 2450 (just outside Coffs Harbour).

Alas no FTTN in our area - so Fixed Wireless it will be - the existing dwelling as zero NBN install/equipment on it (current owners have been hanging in with ADSL+phoneline).

Chasing tips on value oriented hardware (as I've generally found it's best to buy yourself than use Provider supplied ones). House is double brick so might have to put the router up in the roof cavity for best signals. Only 2 users at any one time and will prolly only be a 12/1 or perhaps 25/5 connection (obviously a lot less in reality).

Please feel free to let me know if any more info needed.

Thanks Nick

    • Holdenmg,

Much thanks for the post and recommendations. Haha I've bad memories of the last D-Link modems I used, right back in the early ADSL1 days! BUT I'll have a look at some reviews and see what they say - so thank you for the suggestion.

As with a lot of the little NBN RSP's that have sprung up I wasn't aware of these guys…..so they look reasonable on paper - dunno how they'll stack up against a known provider like Sky Mesh - BUT if I go ahead with them I'll be sure to put your details in - so if you're already a member with them let me know via msg your details and I'll ensure you get the referral credit (10% for life is a pretty sweet deal!)

Still welcome to any other suggestions guys. :-)
