About the same for local stock… not a deal IMO

MSY $449 for Gainward GTX 970

    • Yeah, honestly, the Gainward is my go-to for 970 prices.

Hoping MSY will do another Gainward sale at some point, or if the fabled price drop in general will happen for 970 cards.

    Incoming "wait for Pascal" comments.

      Wait for Pascal! =P

:P Pascal flagship won't come until 2017 anyway. No reason to upgrade my 980ti yet.

Wasn't it hinted it will launch in April? At the latest i think pascal flagship would be Q4 this year… having said that and thinking of the tick tock cycle, a upgrade worthy pascal flagship will probably be in 2017.

        • @ProjectZero: Yeah. The flagship usually comes almost a year after release. We will get the next 80s and 70s first, followed by budget cards 60s and 50s then comes the next Titan then the final would be the flagship.

@Letrico: Agreed, I wouldn't even consider buying a '80 or a Titan after seeing what happened this generation with the 980 Ti.

That was the price I paid for my Asus GTX 970 strix from Amazon in October 2014 (Actually it was $425).

    Damn you Australian dollar!

970s are cheap enough to take the risk on with 2nd hand purchases and most would upgrade in a year or two which it should last until then, especially if its a recent evga one with 3 yr warranty

  • Hmm. I was waiting for a 980 Ti deal, but this is tempting. It might be a better idea to buy cheaper cards more often instead of a big upgrade between long gaps.

    Might go for this one.
