Yoga vs LG vs Surface 3 - which best ?

hey all,

I need to buy a laptop this weekend and JB having sale but need decide between the following three but not sure which best?

I need a FHD and super portable so I can transfer/edit/play my GoPro 1080p videos whilst traveling.
Also for traveling be nice to be able to charge phone, gps, and camera via usb on laptop, so use it like a portable battery as well.
Other major task is using chrome upto 20 tabs at one time.
Then just general uni work stuff, watch lecture videos, download pdf, write docs etc….

Was also looking to get a Microsoft Band 2 from JB and can get them down from $379 to $354 if I buy the Yoga from them in-store.

so which you reckon best value…..

  • Surface 3 is nowhere near powerful enough to do video editing on it. The atom processor will struggle, the other two would fare a whole lot better. However being able to write notes with a proper pen is the big plus over the other two. Whether or not the decrease in performance is worth it is really up to you. I'd go with the LG if I was you, I had an atom tablet and it's enough for the basics but if I was paying that much I'd expect better performance.

    • So the LG over the yoga….which I could see and hold the LG for comparison but cant find a store in Perth that has it.

  • Go to that lg thread, search someone posted link to lenovo sale on eBay, 6th gen i3 and similar price. Just search all pages of comments.
