This a lower spec version of the Inspiron 13 7000, ranking just above the 500gb hdd version, but I think it is good value at this price.

  • Inspiron 13 7000 i5-6200U/8GB/256GB is currently available for $1,299

'Twas $1099 in November last year. Only reason I didn't buy it was because it's very average, quite large, keyboard is nothing special and battery life is less than 5 hours.

    • I recently purchased the i7-6200U/8GB/256GB version from Dell Factory Outlet for $899 - very happy with it [big step up from my former 8 year old HP :)]. For home use, 5.5 hours battery life is sufficent for me.

      • You mean i5, right?
I also have a 8 year old HP laptop (no joke). Perhaps it's time I upgraded. XD

        • No i7 - listed as 'Refurbished', but in immaculate condition

        • @kusala: There is no i7-6200U

        • @fredblogs

Sorry, I made a mistake - should have been i7-6500U

      • Bought exactly the same one a few months ago refurbished too, but mine gets really really hot cant even touch the bottom even just after about half an hour use! Got the latest Bios, ran hardware tests and they're all fine, even battery life is not that good. I'm really hating it now trying to get rid of this and probably get a lenovo next time

  • So between the two the cpu looks better on this then the LG deal here, but the LG lighter?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232687

    • The LG has 8GB ram, is thinner & weighs less.

However, the Dell has a later model cpu, yoga style touch screen, backlit keyboard, passive stylus [I think], better battery life & likely better warranty support than the LG.

  • seems fairly basic. don't know where they're getting "premium" from integrated gfx card, 4gb RAM. and a small SSD. …meh.

  • is this from JB, same model but smaller?

Edit: ok so its not 1080, so not as good

  • Does anyone know if can upgrade ram in this later?
