    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_udlo=222&_udhi=800&LH_Com…

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
EDIT: sounds too goo to be true, why wouldn't the sellers just do this?

We are! Trying a bit of everything.

However we can list & sell them cheaper on our website because we don't have to fork out 10% in eBay fees!

Well I would never condone other OzB members buy them and then flip them…. too many whiners downvote me for such suggestions, despite being a place where we all wanna save coin and profit :)

More power to you for selling them. I wonder if you slapped a 1TB SSD and 16GB in one though, if it might make a perfectly good laptop for another 2 or 3 years TBH.

Open an ebay Store and you only pay 5% fee's for tech products > $300 (unless they changed t recently). Its only $20 per month and you get 200 free listings

Different description of conditions on your page mate, would be much more interested in seeing a photo example of what you class as "Poor"

    • Hi,

Not sure what you mean by different descriptions… same descriptions here as on the website.

Photos will certainly help, I will add photos to the page over the coming days.

      • Here you have:
        Good, Ok, Bad

        There you have:
Poor, Ok, Good, Poor - Broken Screen, Poor - Broken Display…

But yeah, will look forward to those pics - might get one for the olds and clean it up a bit.

        • Yes sorry,

I got the wording mixed up,

          Bad = Poor

      • Looking forward to the pics, very tempting deal in fact, but lack of pics stooped me to make my final decision

  • According to the website you can pay via cash on pickup; this would allow you to inspect the goods. OP you should mention this in your post as it makes the sale look more legitimate.

Where did you manage to find 800 used Macs too?

    • Hi,

Yes pickup available, however the pickup location and the location of the laptops are seperate, so viewing won't be available for selection. Once ordered, your order will be dropped off at the pickup location - at 2030 NSW.

Our company has made arrangements for the sale of other company assets. We are selling these on behalf of another corporation.

CBA recently got rid of all their MBPs andnreplaced with HP zenbook

        • So if I was a supplier with $30,000 up my sleeve how would I go about securing the disposed lot of 800? I wonder how these things work and how potential suppliers get notified, is a contract for rights for sale? Upvoted your comment, always curious on how these products flood the market. Also the market for these if they listed all of them at eBay auction for instance would go down to 650. So even though these lower specced four year Macs are currently selling for around 800 the supply would drop price (I don't see thousands of users chomping at the bit to buy 2012 MBPs depth of demand is elsewhere) also quality is variable and the time it would take to list each unit with full descriptions on ebay would likely make the proposition of eBay sales unviable. Unless you are able to sell on ebay units ('x' amount available) which aren't pictured but feature significant dents and scratches, detached laptop frames etc. In which case you would probably have to list under the parts category, if they are listed as used or refurbished my understanding is you have to divulge any specific significant defects (like big scratches on the unit) and can't just list everything under broad headings - it being a lottery whether you get one with dents all over the case or scratches on the screen.

are they still using the retarded macbook airs with a windows dual boot?

the most stupid purchasing idea ive ever heard.

Some GM mofo heard from their kids that apple was the sh!t and decided to equip a bank that operates primarily on windows with macbook airs that have to use ULV processors to run windows on

all because theyre moving to the cool and hip AGILE

meanwhile the 12 developers who actually need it were probably given hp selfcombustionbooks

        • @juzz0: probably drop shipped for each order sold. thus the location of sale is different to pickup

        • @furythree: yeah I don't think the GM who made that call will still be around today. It was a absolute disaster from the get go.

      • I would be keen on a "good" condition one, but if i'm paying full price I expect to be able to inspect the used goods before handing over money. That includes testing all ports, checking battery condition, memtest etc as I'm assuming beyond the "14 days" any buyers will be on their own.

        • Hi,

In this case, I would suggest you test out the laptop you receive within 14 days, so you can send it back to us if you have any issues.

        • +1

I'd prefer to not have to rely on a seller I've never heard of to refund my money. Thanks anyway.

got any i7 in stock? been chasing one for past week or so

  • +3

Man, I have a problem with the way these things are run. You want your customer to gamble on each purchase on the priviso that they can waste their time sending the unit back to you within 14 days and then chasing you to get a refund.

Nah man. If you were a truly decent company you'd either allow people to examine each unit in person and then that person can decide to purchase or take photos of each unit and let the buyer decide. Like on that site, I think its called ebay.

And seriously $400 for a unit with a broken screen. And $50 more for a broken but WORKING screen. LOL.

You can get better service if you buy direct from the Apple store, but you will pay a premium price.
      Or you can try ebay.
I'm not aware of anywhere that will sell you a macbook at that spec for $650 with any warranty.
If there is such an alternative, please link to it.

  • Tempting, too bad no i7.

OP do you have any 15" in stock?

    • +1

Yes we have a few 15" but all older and in "poor" condition. Please contact us if interested.
