  • Average price for a 701 SD.
A few other stores are selling it at the same price

But they're getting pretty rare now given how old they are

  • Like the rest of the Baitathon deals this time, this is average and nothing special. They sold this for $199 almost a year ago!

$199 may be an ok price but the $399 RRP is an overinflated gimmick.

    • I remember when $399 was considered a good deal for this netbook :D

  • part of the CotD baitathon. Not worthy of a plus tbh

  • I bought the fantastic S101 for $299 at MLN; It was the Asus flagship with a high-performance SSD and retailed for around $1000 on release.

I've seen many instances of $300 and even $250 for stock-standard 2008-9 netbooks (1.6ghz etc).

Sorry, it would make no sense to buy such a limited and out-dated device for more than $100 (with free delivery.)

Do not buy…this is the same price they sold it over 6 months ago… can get much better netbooks for roughly the same price these days

  • I bought one of these last time, its a useless piece of shit. Screen is way to small, hard drive has stuff all room on it (It came with XP) and the keys are way to small……..pfffffffft.

Save your coin and get a real laptop is my advice, or at least check out the netbooks in person before buying.

Bah, this is an old model. It was already old when I borrowed one for holiday last year. It was fine for what it did, but I wouldn't pay more than $100 for one now. I've seen it for around $200 at various places since so this is not a bargain. It uses an old Celeron processor and you can feel the heat. Battery life about 2 hours, maybe 3 if you are lucky. If you're playing music, even shorter.

  • god i can't believe they even sell this at all

  • Not a deal at all, the so called "BAITATHON" is a joke for ozbargainers, but I guess they are still able to attract quite a few people not sensitive to price.

  • P@ss Off COTD. On what planet are these $400 you lying bastards.
