And I was just about to buy from the outlet yesterday! I use to buy the Aldi towels for $5 and they would come apart within a few months use. Got gifted a set for Christmas a year ago and will not go back! Also free shipping over $150 spend.

  • Great! getting a 700TC quilt set and 500TC sheets, hoping there was a quilt on sale also but doesn't look to be

    Any hot buys?

Discounts are off RRP and 40% off is fairly regular.

Great prices on newer designs at the Sheridan retail site but the outlet prices and range are mediocre.

The stuff available at their retail site look great, but I can't bring myself to spend over $100 on quilt covers, knowing that they're likely to go on sale at the outlet in a couple of months. Made the mistake of paying full RRP ($200+) for a quilt cover set about a year ago, saw it on the outlet for $79+shipping a little while ago.

Why doesn't Sheridan sell decent fitted sheets by itself, rather than only in a sheet set.

I don't use a flat sheet, and my quilt covers come with pillows.

    • It used to be the other way around, it was hard to find a set and they would rort you for individual sheets.

To this day I believe their quilt covers do not include pillow covers which they charge $50 each for.

      • Some of their more expensive quilt covers don't include pillow cases. Most of the cheaper ones do.

However, if you're spending good money on some nice 1000 TC quilt covers, you want the pillows to match the quilt cover and not the sheets.

I was going to buy this today- http://www.sheridanoutlet.com.au/sheridan-palais-1200tc-quil… before I realised I would have to spend extra for the pillows so pulled out.

A combination of the price (for the extra pillows) and realising I have too many white quilt covers made me say no.

I will say that when Adairs have sales on their Mercer and Reid 1000TC quilt covers for about $100-$120, it's excellent value and very nice material. Even comes with free pillows :)

Some 1000TC cotton are so thin and cheap, it's ridiculous. Just like megapixels, not all thread counts are equal.

  • Anyone know where to get a good light weight quilt from? (live in Brisbane) at a reasonable price?

  • Just a general comment on Sheridan as I have been through a range on retailers lately (Adairs, Harris Scarfe, Sheridan)… The deliberate price obfuscation and "always on sale" status is an issue at all three stores.

Discounts of 50% are regular, so NEVER pay full price.

Sheridan has ridiculous markups for what must be relatively cheap materials, given that a $300 quilt cover ends up on sale for $60 regularly. I would be careful buying Sheridan if one if expecting the quality of your mothers and grandmothers Sheridan Products.

Harris Scarfe has so far been helpful about returning some rrp 250 (ie $125) 1200tc Egyptian Cotton Sheets which were pilling within 3 months, I have returned the sheets but not yet seen the discount. Note these sheets were advertised and confirmed as 'single cord' (ie no Chinese multi threading to inflate the TC) however the cotton must have been relatively poor quality to pill so quickly.

Adairs Worlds softest sheets are great so far, but I have not had them for long. Bamboo sheets are long wearing, my last set lasting over 3 years. Currently using the Linen doona cover and am very happy. As always, wait for 50% off on these items, however they do at least seem quality.

    • 40% off is regular. 50% off is the one you wait for, only once or twice a year.

      • Roger that, thanks for clarifying.

      • But then why wait for 10%?

        • 16.6%

  • Thanks. Buying a new bed today and ended up getting some covers and towels from outlet.
