20% off Movies Buy 2 Get 1 Free @ JB Hi-Fi

100

It looks like JB have applied 20% off to their buy 2 get 1 free deal
Not advertised anywhere that I can see but the prices of discs have dropped from $15.98 to $12.78

Plenty of good movies to choose from including a number of 3D titles
I just ordered myself Terminator Genisys (Steelbook), Mad Max: Fury Road 3D, San Andreas 3D, X-Men: Days of Future Past (Rogue Cut), Lucy and Ex Machina for $51.12 (couldnt pickup Terminator as delivery only)

This is my first post, be gentle :)

  • Hmm wonder if they still will do their "monthly" 20% all Blu-rays soon, adding further 20% off to these.

  • Is anyone getting the system to ask for their login when they select a page? I'm going through both BRD and 3D BRD, when I click on page 3 it's asking me to login for some reason…

    • Yep I'm getting this so I went to login and there was an error.

      • It also happens when I'm already logged in. This is really not helpful…

  • I buy my movies (Blurays) at Cash Converters. They have sticker prices of $5-7 and a current promotion of buy 5 and get a pre bundled pack of 5 free (the 5pack free is mostly crap). However if you don't take the free pack they will knock down the prices on the discs you are buying eg $5 movies become $3, $7 become $5 etc. Last trip I bought; The Island, Snitch, Brave, Sin City, Eraser, The Book of Eli, Stargate, Contagion, Robin Hood, Prince of Persia for $46 (I avoided the 5packs).

They don't necessarily have the latest and greatest but it's a cheap way to upgrade the old favourites from DVD to Bluray. YMMV

I thought he was referring to Cashies as being junkies and thieves.

@gizmomelb: Haha, although it looks like someone can't else take jokes around here.

        • @CyberGenesys: fixed for you champ ;)

  • It seems that most things involved with their Buy 2 HBO Get 1 Free is also 20% off.

  • This link appears to work for me OP

And… I am wrong. I started receiving a system error

  • Disney DVDs are 2 for $25. I thought this was worth mentioning because Inside Out has a sticker price of $37.98!

    The deal link gives me:

    Page not found
The page you were after lived a good and happy life, but now it is no longer with us. That's ok though, because we have thousands more that are alive and just as great.

  • How the hell do you see whats in the list?

    • Yeh, website is awol. Try this

      • N0 dice :(

Don't you see the b2g1f list? just checked and they've stuffed the b2g1f (not apllying at checkout) as well as not applying the 20%? Amateur website mgrs it seems.

Edit: Now back to "normal" it seems. Last time I used the b2g1f they did allow stacking, seems they've changed policy.

  • I think the deal was an error. Not the OPs fault.

    • Nah the deal works, but u have to guess whats included - whate are others buying?

  • I've been trawling through their list and lots came up as $12.78 - I opened them up in separate tabs ready to make a shopping list and they were still showing as $12.78 but a short time later a page refresh has altered the price back to $15.98.

  • Hah, I just went to my local JB and got the first 3 seasons of Game of Thrones for $47.96 using the website as a price reference. And in the 10 minutes it took me to get home they've sorted it out. :P

I think the 20% off is now borked

All showing as $1598 in my cart now

    • That's a lot of movies!

  • Just got back from World Square JB, manager matched the online price in my cart for this deal, but as soon as I walked out & checked cart pricing back up to $15.98.. got in on time as last copies left of the movies I wanted in that store anyways.. :) Thanks OP!!

  • JB confirmed it was a website error. Ah well, not like we'll have to wait long for the next 20% off anyway :)
