Macpac 20% off Clearance Items Online & in-Store & Free Shipping with $100 Spend

150

Now 90% owned by an Australian private equity partnership, Macpac was the effort of New Zealander Bruce McIntyre, when but a wee teenage boy, began designing his own outdoor equipment in the mid 1970's.

With seemingly endless sales nowadays it can be difficult to ascertain a bargain from a standard. But having a look and comparing the market produces some good deals to end this endless summer.

Take for example this down vest or down jacket - lightweight and 85/15 duck down for $60 and $68 respectively. Some earthy tones to hint at what the urban warrior within you will be getting up to and wearing over the weekend.

And for us girls how about this snazzy jacket made out of real llamas for $60

A 30 litre 2.03kg carry on for $120 seems reasonable given some of the recent crumpler deals.

Their won't be something for everyone but their may just be something that is right for you right about now.

For merino freaks (AKA me) there's still some good merino gear available (though in men's stuff jackets, pullovers etc are only larger sizes).
I've had both icebreaker and macpac merino stuff. my macpac softshell and macpac hoodies are both good quality (though the sleeves on the hoody could be longer), however I found the t-shirts and particularly underwear & undershirts to be very average and far below icebreaker quality. T-shirts have dis-coloured and sizing was all over the place (polo's seemed too short, t-shirts seemed too big), the underwear and undershirts got holes in them very quickly (in some cases, after only 2 or 3 wear's).
Perhaps quality has improved since i got the bulk of my macpac gear - but I wouldn't be buying macpac merino underwear again.
    The long-johns are great!

I believe I saw that the Town Hall Square shop in Sydney had 30% off all macpac branded products today (Wednesday). Didn't say it was a one-day sale, so if you're into this stuff, you might want to take a look.

  • LOL, Do they still have promos like 1 tshirt for $90 or 2 for $60? From my observation - Most MacPac(and Mountain Design) OWN/BRANDED items are rather average quality.
