A massive amount of phone for such a small price. Though the G5 looks awesome.

    • Agreed.

    • +3

      But its not 300% better

  • Red is $428.

    • corrected the description mate!

  • +10

But I heard this store is no good, isn't it?

    • I heard Mixed reviews

      • +2

Whirlpool reviews - not positive overall, looks like they are cheap for a reason.

      • Ordered a phone that showed as in stock, took my funds and never sent phone. When I followed up they said the phone actually isn't in stock then refunded my money. Will never give them money again.

    • It's rather mixed reviews. LG G4 has this bootloop problem for handset manufactured before Sep 2015. It should happen within a year. I'd rather go to someone with a better reputation and pay a little bit more. However don't think there is any other seller sell it under $500.

      • +1

Can confirm my g4 had the boot loop, while I was on holiday :(

        • WIFI on mine died. Got a replacement same day from JBHiFi because it was under 90 days.

        • Also have G4 from Oct last year. What happened to yours? Did you get it fixed, replaced.

        • @albanyson:

I think mine was one of the first batches in April/May and it got replaced under warranty (from Kogan) as it probably wasn't worth repairing it :)

I was using it and the phone froze and then just wouldn't get past the LG boot logo anymore.

        • @frogduck

Bought mine in Oct. So far, apart from dodgy battery, all seems ok

        • How long did Kogan take to replace yours?

        • @coolbbb888:
I believe it was around 1 month: a week to get from perth to melb, 2-3 weeks including 'delays' to replace it, and a week to get it back to me in perth.

        • @frogduck: OMG, I need to get ready for this. Mine will break someday, most likely

        • +1

          @coolbbb888:
Well hoping it doesn't break though :) or if it does, at least within warranty!

      • Bootloop problem here as well…. I'll find out this week how good the experience of grey imports are with Ruslan.

    • +3

Dealt with these people before- took the funds but waited for weeks with no dispatch notice.

Never sent anything, although they refunded the money fairly easily.

All up went a few weeks down a few hundred and no real contact. Not going to neg, but wouldn't recommend

  • +1

    shipping is $24 to Melbourne

    • +1

It is $24 everywhere for the cheapest option.

  • +4

    No Paypal though…

  • +1

Trigger…… pulled. Thanks! hope the invoice has ABN, can do TRS, bringing outright $400is. Bargain!

They r obviously clearing overseas stock of G4 to make way for G5.

    • You'll want to hope.

    • +5
    • What the, my comment gets a neg? Thanks, great community! ABN matters not, this is the best price yet for a G4.

      • But it is not the best price yet for a G4. Ebay had a 20% sale last year where you could have got the G4 for $ 438.25 from QD after 20% coupon + 2% cash reward.

        • +1

what's in the past is in the past…

        • Indeed! It has been ~430$ 4 months ago. We should expect the price to be ~400$ or under now considering LG G5 has recently been released.

        • @hippo2s: You said best price yet. I am just pointing out you are wrong.

        • @highdealer:

You are right, I am wrong. Happy now? Moving on.

    • Do let us know reviews when u receive the order buddy!

Presumably a grey import? Anyone know where this one is from? Will it have all AU bands? Hopefully someone can negotiate a deal on AU stock?

    • Yes its a grey import, but from memory LG ships all their G2 ans G3 phones with all bands regardless of region. Can someone with a G4 confirm tho?

    • According to the site this is the H815 which most of the grey importers sell, good for nearly all AU networks except for one band Optus are using in some regions (mostly Canberra apparently).

H815T is AU stock and is good for all AU networks - this is what Mobileciti have.

      • Mobileciti is A-tick with AU manufacturer's warranty. I'm wondering what claiming under warranty for grey imports is like for LG? Has anyone tried?

      • As per gsmarena, 815T is the hong kong model. Am I missing anything here?

  • +1

Am I the only one who finds the leather variety kind of…ugly?

    • Does it really matter? Most smartphone user will use case to cover their phone anyway.

    • +3

compared to the plasticky option, I reckon the leather still looks good. Different as well..

    • +2

I think it looks nice, will definitely feel better in hand than hard cold glass/plastic/metal

      • I haven't seen/touched the leather in person, maybe it'll change my mind. Deff different though. I actually quite like the smooth glass/metal/plastic (maybe) feeling, makes it feel sleek and sexy!

        • Ohh…u've touched leather…trust me!!

        • I mean on the back of the phone. We have genuine leather sofas at home which I love, but doesnt mean I'll like it when Im texting etc.

    • Yes :)

  • I dont know much about phone life cycles and their pricing but with G5 around the corner, aren't a heap of G4 deals imminent?

  • +5
  • Priced dropped to $410 + shipping now

    • Now $401 + shipping
(and you get a $10 voucher for signing up to their mailing list)
There is a ~1% credit card surcharge, and shipping isn't cheap either ($24 for most basic shipping)

  • +2

I've been waiting for a deal on the LG G4 for a while, but I will skip this one due to the not so favourable reviews about the site.

    • Totally in agreement, I shall await the next mobileciti other B&M store deal (hopefully black and brown available at same price, but not too fussed).

  • +1

If it's the Taiwain grey import it is unrootable as there is no unlock for the bootloader.

    • That is a really good point- it would be worth confirming this if you want to install aftermarket roms etc.

      For reference:

      https://www.reddit.com/r/lgg4/comments/3snaav/unlocking_h815…

    • Is there a way to find out? This is a big deciding factor for me

      • Not that I have been able to tell. Shops like these won't have the slightest idea really, but odds are you'll get a TWN one (ie can't unlock bootloader at the moment).

The only good news is that it is technically possible- LG have just decided to only allow unlocking on European models. I suspect (hope?) that in time either LG will relent and unlock them all, or maybe some clever person from XDA forums or similar will work out an unofficial way.

  • Anyone who ordered from this deal had the phone delivered yet? How long did it take?

Is it the unlockable bootloader variety?
