Unless its urgent, I would keep looking.
I bought the saucepan combo and the 26cm oval pot for $53 + post at Christmas.

    • how do you find the cookware?

      • Haven`t had a chance to use them yet, still cooking everything on the BBQ.

    • which website did you find the deal at?

      • That was deals direct, quite expensive today though.
Like a lot of shops now days the prices keep changing every week so buyer beware!
It was the cheap Classica range.

  • You should be able to use the 15% off code this weekend. So $38.25 + postage

  • They looked rather thin.

  • my family is in need of some new cookware, probably just 2 x frypans and a pot, can anybody recommend something that will last?

Something cast iron like this skillet I purchased a while back now will last forever. Will put some meat on your biceps too.

Depends on price range, btw for meat heat the cast iron pan up first, they shine when you use the heat retention to your benifit.

  • aldi cast iron cookware is cheaper. i'm not sure how often they have it for sale though..

  • id be avoiding cheap vast iron enameled cookware.
    a) the iron is generally of the 'muck' variety, meaning they use other shit metals in the mix that arent good for you once your food absorbs them during cooking.
    b) cheap enamels use toxic materials like cadmium, lead and cobalt in their colouring and strengthening processes which can also leach into foods.

    dont skimp on cast iron.
look for le creuset, Lodge (look for the US made iron stuff) and their is even a brand in Aus that have been out for about 2 years now i think, but im unsure of the quality. here is the aus made stuff - http://www.solidteknics.com/where-to-buy/

  • The ebay deal with 20% off makes this cheap enough.
