Returning to the stage after a highly successful run at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, James Rankin again ponders what exactly it means to Be a Man.

Co-host of the Retreating Laughs radio show, James has also performed around the world from London to Berlin and of course, in his home city of Melbourne. His experiences, throughout his travels, with previous girlfriends, and even from his school days have all led to him reaching a point in his life where he feels it’s time to become a man. But, where does he begin? What does it even mean to Be a Man?

Join James for an hour of analysis, self-doubt, storytelling, and some very interesting conclusions as he makes the audience laugh, cry, and even squirm with his vivid recollections of experiences that have contributed to him being the “man” he is today.

An ‘absorbing storyteller’ (J-Air 87.8FM) who is ‘like a friend telling you about an embarrassing event from the night before’ (also J-Air 87.8FM), James’ on-stage presence immediately puts the audience at ease, paving the way for a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Running at the Melbourne Comedy Festival for eight shows only, Be a Man is among the most exciting and creative shows of 2016 featuring a local comedian at the top of his game.

“His natural gift of finding comedy in real-life experiences is both captivating and hilarious” - J-Air 87.8FM

    Tickets not selling well, huh?

    • No harm in advertising on various avenues.

      • Only if it's a bargain, this isn't a site just for free advertising…

  • "Join James Rankin for an evening of tales and laughs as he tries to break down what it is to Be A Man, whilst simultaneously weaving in his own personal stories and failed attempts at becoming just that."

Maybe he should consider being a woman or remaining genderless?
