Storage Boxes 100L - Heavy Duty - 2 for $34.99 @ Supercheap Auto

180

These are good quality storage boxes, very thick plastic. They stack well and you can lock the lids on with a padlock or cable ties.
Normal price is $32 each.

A previous deal was 2 for $44 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206970 but this beats that.

I recommend these - they will easily hold more than you can lift (you do lift don't you?).
Bunnings have the same boxes (without the SCA branding) for $18.89 if you are up for a price beat.

  • Regarding the Bunnings price they come up at $17.49 (my local store)-Caloundra

    • If I had to choose between Supercheap and Bunnings (I have a few of each), I'd go for the Supercheap ones - the plastic feels more sturdy - don't know if it's a slightly different plastic or just a touch thicker.

  • Are these safe for food storage?

    • +1

There are no marks to indicate what the plastic is, at a guess I'd say it's 2(HDPE). It is not marked safe for food. Are any plastics really safe? These containers give off a smell when you first unpack them - so there must be some volitile components to them.

I personally would not mix a punch in one of them for the next party - hell the Rakija would eat through them for sure :)

  • Looks the same as the ones Masters were selling for $10. I stocked up!

They are good quality, still great value at $17 .
Just don't fill them with heavy items like books :)

  • Had 3 of these in my ute for $10 each at Reject Shop. Excellent stuff, should have bought a few more.

  • if you could get BCF to price match then you could get $50 off $200

  • How durable is the lid though? Because the ones I bought from OW seemed fine when stacked, but a box full of games/DVDs for a couple of years, the lids crack from the weight of the box on top of it.

    • +1

Lids are also very thick plastic - can't see them cracking. I'm 110Kg and can stand on the lid. The kids jump up and down on them and they seem fine.

      • You stand on it at 110kg and the plastic doesn't even bend?

Sounds perfect. Any idea when the deal ends? I can't get to SCA until weekends, due to work.

      • Is the lid weather proof? Looks like it's got holes in for the base to slot through?

        • +2

I wouldn't call them weather proof. They will withstand some water, but there is no rubber ring around the top of the box. The slots keep the lid in place. If you need better water protection these are on special too.
