    • Is that for reals?

Wow… if so I'm getting another mower, as I have a low powered electric corded one.
Can anyone provide me some info if it is a true bargain at this $160 pricepoint?
      Cheers
      Dan

      • I think the price has gone up to $999 to stop people buying it before the catalogue starts and it will go down once the catalogue starts.

Is it just me or does the handle at the top of the picture look like it belongs on PhotoShop Disasters?

    • That link has it at $269 now

Either someone's been fooling around with the Masters site, or they've totally lost the plot & confused this with the Mars Rover….
The most this mower should be is about $250, & even that's pushing it reading the reviews & seeing that you need to hold the throttle handle while you mow, WTF??? Why not just use a freaking old push mower if you have to do that! I'll stick with my Victa mowers thanks, old reliable :-)

Hey mate, I own this mower and can confirm you can remove the safety to stop the need to hold the bar shut ;)

  • When does it start?

      • OH HELL YES!!

mine starts first time most of the time, just gotta prime it 3 times before hand, but other then that she's pretty sweet !

  • Single blade???

  • that is one tiny lawn mower! only good for a courtyard area (preferably mostly paved too). tiny engine, tiny cutting width…. this must be the kids model.

    • Wouldn't 123cc be about 4.5bhp? Isn't that about average?

      • a single blade on a lawn mower is definitely not average. Victa and others go to around 21", so that's an extra 25cm in cutting width. There would be nothing worse then walking back and forth wasting time mowing a very narrow strip at a time. Good for courtyard.

  • I love my Rover. I purchased one of the pro cut series and it hasn't missed a beat.
Cuts the longest grass even when wet.

Don't forget to combine with this deal if you are spending over $100 or buying the mower for another $20 off https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/175441

    • Good thinking, I will add that to post. Cheers :)

Good price on the rover! Paid $269 for mine awhile ago, still runs well.

I did as well! I would jump on this deal if I was still in the market for a mower.. ;)

  • Mower looks like it is based on the same design as the 909 recently sold for $129.
But the Rover only has one blade rather than four. How does that work? Do they mean it has a bar (2 edges)?

  • It has a bar with a blade on each end some mowers have two bars so 4 blades but meh:)

I added mower to basket few days ago.
Just logged in now and price is lowered to $159 (from $999!)
    So did click and collect.
Saves rushing out first thing in the morning.

Thought I would point out to new owners that are buying the mower, I've had it for over 6 months and pretty much a month into owning it I had the safety handle that you squeeze to keep the mower running just snap! the weld joints seem very thin and not super tough.. I'm unsure why but that's how it's made.. check it out when you loop the metal string to it, you'll see what I mean..

Anyway when this happened to me I went back to the masters, I was told it isn't a fault so they weren't willing to just do a complete swap over.. more to the point they have some policy that if the unit has fuel / liquid inside it they can't take it back… obviously unless it's somthing major..

They offered to order in a replacement part <3 - 4 week wait time from Rover directly.. or they could offer me a similar bar off another mower on the spot, I think I got one off a troy built or somthing along those lines.. Anyway took it home and it didn't fit! however I Drilled new holes so it would fit haha! ever since it's worked a charm!

    Happy Mowing!

Also the grass catcher is the hardest piece of equipment you'll put together in your life, that is.. even after you read the instructions haha!

Went to the Masters - Roxburgh Park this morning. They had more than 10 in stock. Just take the pic of the $20 voucher and they will honour it as well. Happy with $139 purchase. There are always people who complain that this is broken, that is not working. What do you expect for $139. This stuff is made in Hungary. Hope it will last for few years of normal use. Jin Qui

If anything is broken or not working I would expect it to be rectified in line with Australian Consumer Law. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't last a lifetime or perform any better than what you'd expect from a mower at this price, but if it breaks, Masters must comply with the law..

This mover available at Bunnings for $149 http://www.bunnings.com.au/sprinter-16-cut-and-catch-lawn-mo… if you are a fan of B & S engines

  • Bayswater had a few pallets of the 100l crates yesterday, but they were moving fast. All gone by now I suspect.

They seem very sturdy for $10 each (with 20/100 coupon). Time to organise my shed now :)
Staff said they needed original coupon, but were happy for me to enter the code at the self-serve.

  • Anyone seen stock of the 100L crates in Adelaide?

    • All gone in Adelaide

  • Thanks good quality - 100L Heavy Duty Boxes

  • Printed off the voucher and barcode worked fine with hand scanner so got the Rover for $139 :P
