I personally used this method to grab the Gold edition (season pass and bonus gear) for The Division through the official Brazilian Uplay store and confirm it works and was playing it last night.

I understand most people who are interested probably already bought the game via other methods, but this was definatley the cheapest Gold Ed I could find and I wanted to confirm this worked before posting.

This will require the use of a VPN or equivalent service/application as well as generating fake details for the purposes of passing the Social Security No (SSN/CPF) checks that the Brazilian Uplay store requires. I've seen similar methods posted for other releases so thought it would be of use to others.

Steps as follows:
1. Download and install/activate a VPN application. I use Tunnelbear (www.tunnelbear.com) and it works fine and has browser extensions available to make it even easier to use.
2. Turn on the VPN and set to Brazil as your country, then visit http://shop.ubi.com/ - it should direct you to the Brazilian store (use browser translation to read it in English)
3. Add The Division Gold ed to your cart for BRL 159.99 (standard ed is BRL 129.99 so not really worthwhile for the difference you pay)
4. Proceed to checkout, log in with any appropriate Uplay account details (this will tie in with your actual Uplay local account and how the game will be delivered/downloaded)
5. When prompted to fill out your personal details and enter a SSN/CPF no, you will need to make use of a site like this: http://www.fakeaddressgenerator.com/World/Brazil_address_gen…
6. Continue through the checkout process, proceed to pay via Paypal and finalise your purchase. I used my 28 Degrees card to avoid conversion fees.

I left the VPN on until after the Paypal process, I turned it off before Paypal checkout and it failed (as it reverts you back to the non-Brazil site).

You should then receive an email to your registered Uplay email address confirming your purchase (may need to translate it to English), and I received my key overnight in an email and automatically added to my Uplay account, but it may be quicker now that the game is actually released.

    Tried this just now and couldn't get it to go. Tried both PayPal and credit card, but both times ended up with "Falha na autorização do pagamento" - "Authorization failed payment".

    Using IronSocket VPN (Sao Paulo - S1) via OpenVPN :(

      There might be a bit of an issue with the VPN being on or off during the Paypal payment part.

      In the past for similar purchases, it was advised to turn off the VPN for the paypal transaction to go through. But this did not work for me and I left it on the whole time.

      Maybe give Tunnelbear a go, as I said it's free and if you want something lightweight, just use the browser extension version.

    @rysith, You mentioned that they emailed you the key? Does that mean I can add it to my normal Uplay account, or am I forever stuck using a Brazilian account?

      So I received 2 emails: 1st was confirmation my order was received (automated), 2nd was notification that the key had been added to my Uplay (local) account but also provided with the serial number in that email.

      I then opened my Uplay account (that I specified in the purchase process) and the game was ready to preload/install.

      Its only required for puchasing, since some games don't have region lock while playing, you only need to do this once and you will be able to play the game, be advised,you should always change your paypal password after purchasing something via vpn

    didnt work for me. tired many times. logged onto paypal etc still didnt work
    didnt want to put my credit card number in over the VPN.
    I kept getting "Authorization failed payment".

        i didnt put my details in for billing address etc. i used all the details from the fake address generator, are you meant to use your personal details and just put the SSN/CPF number from that site?

          Nah I used all the details from the generator to populate the forms, only true details I used were my Uplay account and payment.

          Ok it worked. 2 things I did.
          1. logged onto my account and set the address of where i am currently living (not sure if that makes a difference)
          2. used chrome incognito mode.

    ive manage to purchase the game using tunnelbear browser extension but after an hour and half they refunded my purchase, I have no idea why. Im using paypal money and some money from my debit card, could that be a problem?

      I just used my credit card (28 Degrees card) linked to my paypal account to do it in one purchase amount.

      There may be an issue with the different currencies being used or your debit card being different than a credit card for whatever foreign checks they apply.

          edit: After 4 attempts which all was failed attempts, I somehow got a ubisoft email this morning with confirmation of game in my uplay library. Don't know what happened there but I guess it worked.

    EDIT: Nvm seems like the Tunnelbear chrome extension is just a lot slower than using the actual windows client.

    I got mine to work finally. I'm using Chrome on OS X. I had to install Tunnelbear first as the extension refused to work in incognito mode. Everything else was smooth sailing. Thanks OP :)

    If the Paypal checkbox isn't loading for you, try this method.

    On the payment information page, right-click the paypal text and inspect element.
    Just above the highlighted paypal code it should show this:

    '<input type="radio" name="paymentMethodID" id="PayPalExpress" value="190000">'

    Right-click it and select the option ':active'. I just tried it and I was able to pay with Paypal.

      Keep your vpn on throughout the whole process. Turning it off even for a second will give you a failure to authorize payment.

      Worked fine for me just now. Used free Tunnelbear app via Android phone, Chrome in incognito mode and followed OP's instructions (opened Paypal in Chrome window rather than app). Paid for with 28 Deg M/card linked to Paypal. Took 2 or 3 minutes to receive both purchase emails (Ubisoft email in Gmail spam) and was linked to Uplay account after 10 minutes. Downloading the 32GB as we speak….

        When it asks you to login with your uplay account details during the checkout process. Make sure you use your actual username and correct password associated with your uplay account. I had a similar issue, where mine got refunded because I used my email address instead of my actual uplay username. I received the game instantly after I payed with PayPal the second time around.

    I was successful about an hour ago using Chrome…
    1. Set Hola to Brazil
    2. Clicked on OP's link and placed game in cart
    3. Logged in with real Uplay username and password
    4. Filled in details (all fake from generator)
    5.Paid using Paypal using 28 degrees, no issues or problems, works out to be $57.10 AUD

    The game appeared instantly in my Uplay account, no need to check any emails , thanks OP

    So, I just got it to work after being denied twice earlier today. My step-by-step involves a different tunnel to any of the previously mentioned ones.

    1. I downloaded the SoftEther VPN client, which is an academically developed client and highly unlikely to steal/sell data.

    (when you pick a VPN server, pick the Brazilian server with the most uptime)

    1. I clicked the OP's link, and signed into my real Uplay account before I added the game to cart
    2. I added the game to cart
    3. I went through the shopping cart process using the fake name generator linked by the OP
    4. I opted to pay via paypal, using my paypal account, and using my instant bank transfer payment option (which is backed by a debit card)

    Instantly received my code in my email

        I double clicked 'VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers' then I sorted it by regions.
        I found Brazil near the bottom.
