Ha, this price is now $774.36. Cheaper all the time!

  • The monitor I received had a warranty card that says warranty is only valid in Aus (and not NZ). Anyone know if that's correct and whether Philips will honour warranty claims on monitors purchased from FreeShippingTech?

    • dunno, but i registered with philips.com.au. See what happens in the event of a warranty issue. I'll play dumb and say i bought it from an aussie website! :)

      • just wondering if your warranty registration with Philips went ok?

Yep, got a thank you email from philips for registering my product. Now they want me to write a review.. :)

        • Does this mean that you should be able to return the monitor to a local Philips repair/service centre if you have issue with it? The monitor comes with a 3 year warranty, correct?

  • Looks like they finally got real stock now as its back on "Stock 30+"
Ordered on 22th, hope get delivered soon now…

Guys, I am currently using an old 24" Dell 2407 which have served me really well. I have been itching to upgrade it to at least a 30" or 32" UHD monitor. I am using it mainly for work and the occasional movies.

My video card (XFX R7870 Black Edition Overclocked) is rather old too. I just checked the box and it says it supports Display Port 1.2 with max resolution of 4096x2160. It doesn't say anything about refresh rate though but since it is a DP1.2 port, 4K resolution @60Hz shouldn't be a problem?

One more thing. What is a good & reliable (no fancy $50+ suggestions please!) Display Port 1.2 cable to buy for this monitor?

Sorry for the noob questions. I am a bit out of the PC scene.

    • The screen comes with heaps of different cables, one of them is DP to DP.
I need miniDP to DP to connect my surface 4 PRO so i did order this one: http://www.mwave.com.au/product/startech-2m-mini-dp-to-dp-12…

      • I had one of those in my pile that was new in the bag (which also cured my wake from sleep problems). I'm sure it came with the monitor as it was the same sort of labelling as the other bags. I ordered mine from Korea a few months ago but I'd expect the accessories to be generally the same.

  • And it's removed from the site :(
