      It's not a regular old paperback - this is an illustrated, hard back special edition which is as much collectors item as it is novel. It's a beautiful book and if I was going to buy it I'd want it to be in mint condition which I received it.

        Completely agree. It is a beautiful book.
        Whilst I agree that it is worthwhile having this one in wonderful condition, these remainders book stores aren't usually all that bad. I buy from a local one here and apart from that black line that some of them have, the kind of wear and tear I tend to see is more along the lines of a barely noticeable scuff.

        Don't get me wrong. They're not all like that. A few items can be in pretty bad condition :)
