Saw a post yesterday the xfx 380 for about 264 shipped this was the 2gb version i purchased it last night but went back this morning to find the 4gb version dropped down from 240 to 195 USD, canceled my order and bought it instead

    I've been asking myself for the past 6 months, get 970 now or wait for 1070. The 970 gen is just too long. Seems nVidia skipped a year.

    I don't want to buy 2014 hardware in 2016, even though 1070 might be coming 2nd half.

    So I'll just play other stuff while I wait.

  I caved and bought the 970 last week. Coming from the 270x I really needed it.
  I'm willing to speculate that these prices (20% off) will still be decent bang for buck vs rrp in 6 months.

  Watch the new cards be out of stock, unavailable, overpriced and late to Australia. I bet $5 you can't get a better card for less money before this time next year (outside of currency changes). I'm a cynic, but a possibly accurate cynic.
