The Good Guys Using Fastway for Deliver for My Galaxy S7, LOST! ? STOLEN?

I have a massive problem and I am just stressing I'll never see my phone, I got it during the 20% off eBay sales so I don't want a refund I want my phone. I feel like I'm buying from China and I'm in the dark with NO TRACKING. Because of how bad fastway is.

Still has not moved on tracking so I emailed fastway and they said they had a trainning and the new person forgot to scan the item, so why didnt they just rescan it? now my item is lost I dont know where it is as it is taking so long to get to Melbourne

They also dont know where my item is as they said it was sent out yet why is there no scans by now? did they steal it? or lose my phone?

proof for bad rep for this guys http://www.productreview.com.au/p/fastway.html
so I'm stressing so much I just want my phone ASPA and safe. im worried they stole it because all this sounds so odd and fishy to me, anyone else have this problem? any tips on how to handle this?

I live in Dandenong, VIC

You have strangely high stress levels

You've also spoken about it in the thread itself, maybe just have 1 point of discussion

    • -6

yes and not the full story in that thread thats why i wanted to share it here see if anyone else has this problem

      • -5

that also isnt my thread or a forum to talk or ask for help so I made a forum so it is one point discussion.

    • +1

you don't know what its like to deal with shadowbyakuya

    • +8

you know he meant dandenong, don't be an ass.

      • -3

In freight dispatch, accuracy is everything.

The fact that the item may be lost or delayed is enough to see there may be a problem based on the suburb address perhaps?

Does Fastway dispatch in "Capricorn Coast, QLD" know Victoria that well?

Give Fastway a chance, at least use the right suburb name.

        • +2

I meant dandenong and everything is right on ebay as in my address I just typed to fast here and posted it without noticing the error lol

        • @shadowrukia:

          No worries.

On the eBay listing, where it says "Delivery: Estimated between:" what are the Dates stated?

        • -3

@holdenmg: still got 3 more days Estimated delivery Thu, 17 Mar - Wed, 23 Mar

the problem is the tracking and the item maybe lost and me over stressing lol

        • +2

Well, contact the eBay seller on the 24TH MARCH if it hasn't showed up.

Obviously "Estimated delivery" is just that, an Estimate.

  • +16

My tip on how to handle it would be to chill out.

Don't waste time wondering about what they could have done, or why they have done this or that.

    If it arrives, great.
If it doesn't do a credit card charge back/ paypal dispute.

    • -1

Ok thanks, ill just rather the phone as I saved 230 dollars.

      • +18

If you get the money back you'll save another $900 ;)

        • -1

mahaha but then ill spend it on another S7 and spend more instread ill buy the edge if im going to have to pay full price for one

        • +3

@shadowrukia: then get other phone. S6 or lg isn't that expensive and almost as good as s7. True ozb never buy something that has just been released!

        • -7

@eisniwre: im not a true ozb lg sucks i had it it was faulty i had two lg g4s both faulty

        • +9

          @shadowrukia:

        • -7

@Banana: Cool please use them for me

        • @Banana: ¡!Golden!¡

        • +2

@shadowrukia: Or you can wait for another 20% ebay sale. It's a bloody phone not food that you can't live without. I'm sure I will get negged for saying this but I have the courage to say the fact.

      • +3

stop panicking over something so trivial, no one had died, just chill out as gummibear said

As manager of an online seller, I deal with requests like this all the time. Obviously don't usually get to say this so will say it now; TAKE A CHILL PILL, IT WILL GET THERE WHEN IT GETS THERE.

When they said that a "trainee forgot to scan your item", they probably meant he forgot to scan a bunch and yours would have been one of them. Highly unlikely that they were looking at your package at the time and then still didn't scan it.

If they missed the scan going out of that depot then it will get scanned next when it reaches Melbourne. Delivery time from Capricorn Coast to Dandenong is 3-5 days, so most likely will arrive Monday or Tuesday (literally took 60 seconds to look it up, see here: http://www.fastway.com.au/pricing/quick-quote/quick-quote-re…).

My phone was lost/stolen by Fastway exactly same way as yours. Tracking only showed pick up scan.

I waited until 2 days of expected delivery, then contacted seller. Seller asked to wait and I waited, took 3 weeks and seller sent replacement via Auspost and express.

I wasn't stressed and it turned out quite sweet for me as I got updated invoice and can now claim TRS as I will travel soon. Couldn't don't if the phone would have arrived earlier. $120 extra discount just because I was patient ;)

Don't stress, just wait and it will get sorted out. You are safe with eBay and PayPal.

      • +16

Then go to a store NOW and pay full price NOW so you can get it NOW. (lol)

  • +2

If I know a retailer uses Fastway I won't order from them due to extremely negative past experiences.

    • problem is I didnt know, it says nothing about using fastway till after I ordered.

    • I'm the same. Waiting on a parcel for two weeks, contacted the seller (a fairly large company), the seller contacted Castaway. Castaway told the rep that they had tried to deliver the parcel and it was waiting at their collection centre in Port Melbourne. I hadn't received any note of their attempted delivery, even though I was home that day! Made my way to the collection centre, that day, to be told that the parcel had been returned to the seller! I was not impressed, neither was the seller. I ended up getting a refund.

Problem is most companies won't tell you that they are using Fastway.

  • Is dandenong, VIC like Mt. Druitt, NSW?

    Sounds like a dodgy place.

    • +3

If Bankstown and lakemba had a child..that would be Dandenong lol

  • Dude think about it, it's a worry but is extra stress going to do any good. In 10 years is it going to be that important?

I ordered a tarp on 29th/Feb from supercheapauto who also use Fastway.

It has not had an update for 11 days, saying: Your parcel is currently in transit between our 'Gold Coast' and 'Perth' depots.

So it's rediculous transport time, but it's only a cheap tarp.

Point is Fastway are GODDAMNED slow.
It likely is they are just slow, but doesn't mean our items won't get here.

try reading above. its a phone that costs heaps. I would like it now there in AU it shouldn't take this long at all. something is wrong with the tracking, they have probably stolen my phone just like the person above said it happened to them as well. ill contract the good guys monday see if they can resend the phone with AU Post.

      • I suggest you may need to reset your level and warm reboot :->

  • +2

Fastway should change there name as they are definitely not fast. Slow-way.
Had a parcel sent from qld to sa some years ago. It took 2 weeks and after numerous phone calls I went to their depot to collect as I couldn't wait more days for them to deliver.

  • I order heaps of stuff on line and have only had one loss. I always take the optional insurance though-I am sure that helps them to focus.
Fastaway is easily the slowest and the least efficient.
They once arrived outside and drove away again because he couldn't find the parcel.
The following day I got a 'you were not at home' card, when I never been out of the door and saw him pull up.

    • when they pull up i might just go outside and wait for them

Did you learn to perpetuate your rage from that inferior anime?

    • bleach was so good

      • Depends on what you consider "good" I suppose.

From what I remember of it, every single fight goes along the line of:

Enemy shows up, beats the crap out of everyone around using some unusual power.

Main character / captain / someone shows up, who just happens to have the exact power needed to render the enemy's power useless.

Enemy is on the verge of defeat, but wait! He can power up, which in turn renders the hero power useless.

Hero is about to die. He either gets his shīt together and work out how to defeat the enemy, or another hero shows up, and we go back to dot points.

  • Futu uses fastway right? I ordered some stuff from them, and it arrived interstate the next day. Sounds like I should have bought a lottery ticket that day

    • Got my recent Futu ebay stuff delivered via Fastway, its alright just that a tad slower than Auspost. However, I did order an item from TGG and they put the wrong address, luckily Fastway called me to confirm as they couldn't find that number on my street, lol! TGG = GG!

  • A courier once delivered my phone to the wrong address. Needless to say, the person who received it never gave it back. It was from The Good Guys, and, living up to their name, they offered a replacement that I picked up in store.

Same thing happened to someone else I know, and they had to get a refund through PayPal.

  • +1

    @shadowrukia

Suggest you remain friendly with GG. You might need their support in the end if the item is lost.

Still my FarceWay delivery for a Supercheapauto order is currently 23 days waiting. I could have gnawed my way using my front teeth quicker than this.

  • have you tried their courier locator http://fastway.com.au/courier-locator ? I once had a parcel sitting in their van for more than 4 days found my local delivery guy's phone number there called him and delivered the next day.

  • Any news?

    • none tracking is the same

  • never had anything stolen by them but in terms of overall service they are the worst courier ive ever dealt with.
i always double check with sellers if they use fastway.
if they do i ask them to deliver it through aus post or I find another retailer.

  • Product review is a website where people go to bitch. I'd actually be sceptical of any company or product on there that didn't have a bunch of negative reviews.

  • LOUD NOISES!! LOST!! Arrrgh

    • -4

you work at fastway? maybe you can find my item then and where it is? and not say ''I dont know, or maybe its here'' ill PM you tracking number.

  • Fastway is literally the worst courier service ive delt with. Generally if a seller uses them i either request they use auspost(So i can go pick up my item after hours if need be)or i just wont buy it.

  • If it makes you feel any better Australia Post is just as bad at the moment with my S7 from TGG.

Was picked up from Sender on Wednesday last week, and looking at the location, it was picked up from my local store which is only 15 minutes away from where I live. It's been in transit since.

  • I purchased my S7 on ebay/TGG on Tuesday afternoon and got it Wednesday lunchtime!

The odd thing is that the phone arrived in the original box but no other packaging! No brown external box or even a plastic bag!

I don't know which courier delievered the phone as I was out at lunch when it arrived.

Ignore those who say the phone is expensive… it's not like we don't know that… it's a Great phone.

OP I remember you had a major breakdown with returning a game to target or something. At this point I have to say your missing phone isn't your massive problem.

    Generalised anxiety disorder is.

Hmm tips: Breathe, go to your happy place (either by meditation or medication, whichever). Take it slow. See a psychiatrist. Your phone will either arrive or it won't. It will depend on the courier who stole it =)

  • Most courier companies are incompetent but I think that Fastway takes the cake.
They started a thing where they will leave packages with a local Agent if they card you rather than attempt redelivery. Sounds great right?
Well, I don't think that they are too selective about their agents.
The Agent in my case was quite a run down grocery/liquor store where the shopkeeper had all customers' packages running along the shop floor in a disorganised mess.
It's all wide open for anyone to take and you basically have to play a game of treasure hunt to find your package.
Didn't bother checking that the card matched or I was the rightful owner either.

  • I've had this happen before with a delivery. Can't remember what courier it was.

It doesn't mean someone has picked it up. It translates to something silly like picked up from warehouse or similar. I got my computer in the next couple of days.

WTF is with the people that they need to overshare everything in their life. I got the impression that I have a problem let me make a post to share it so I can get advice from strangers on it.

Your parcel was picked up 4 days ago (late in the day and this is early morning) and 2 of those days are weekend days. Chill the **** out… You started telling your SAD, SAD story 1 day after pickup… you live 1724KM AWAY FROM THE PICKUP POINT.

Or panic and start searching gumtree for new brand new S7 phones and ask the seller if they work for Fastway. Start staking them to see where they live… Start dating their daughter to get in the inner circle…

STOP sharing so much…. sharing is not caring when it comes from strangers, it is usually just spam.

  • Have you got it now?

    • not yet but i have calmed down thanks to some people in this forum i stress to much over little things

      • fastway is not fast anyway, I think you could have some update from the tracking number right?
