      How come?

Malcolm Gladwell talks about the 10,000 hour rule to become an expert. I've put in 10,000+ hours studying social skills since I received my diagnosis in high school — it's not like I read "How To Win Friends and Influence People" a month ago and declared myself an expert

No, I pretty much think that's what you did, buddy ;)

If you can't convincingly answer "Why should I listen to you?" with verifiable proof without just repeating ""Because I say I'm an expert" again then these books are always at best common sense but mostly absolutely worthless…

When I was going through my motivation sales, and visualisation phase , I attended a breakfast where there was a motivational speaker. His presentation was word for word of another presenter (from USA and not working in Australia). I had a tape that I played over and over while traveling for work, and I too could repeate the presentation. Good thing I did not pay to see this fellow nor breakfast. Lol

      • How is he going to prove anything when you ask that question?

People who identify as "gamers" (rather than someone who plays games but doesn't explain to people that it's their identity like it's a profession) as a group have lower social skills, are of lower socio economic status and they have less partners … probably due to their habit of explaining how no woman is good enough for them in the looks department.

Oh sorry that was a bit sexist.

  • So it's Amazon US only? That would've helped in the title…

    • I can identify.

My cat gives me little nips on the heels if it considers I don't pat it enough in the morning. I have to back away slowly and carefully, lol.

Are you trying to say us gamers have poor social skills ?, you sir are racist.

    • +2

Maybe discriminatory is the word you're after, because for the life of me I can't see how this is racist… Gamer is a race?

If im at a party, and if the general conversation gets a bit heated, i just go into a hadouken stance.

I find most people see my way of thinking, once the lighting starts to gather at my fingertips

      • I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee

      Change the difficulty setting.

Can do the same with life too - just aim to be on a minimum wage job in a dingy 1 bedroom flat

      See, now your 'winning'
