Touchless Car Wash - Where in Melbourne?

I used to hand wash my car, but now living in an apartment I rather have it done easily.

I know some petrol stations and car wash places offer touchless car washes. Has anyone got suggestions on where or what is a good price? I'm near the CBD if that helps.

  • In my experience, those car washes just don't wash the car. You'd do just as good a job by just spraying a hose over the car.

  • Hand wash places in shopping centres are surprisingly cheap (start from $30).

Or just bring your own sponges/clothes to one of the DIY coin operated car wash places and use their pressure washer for rinsing. I can get my whole car done there for $6, then $2 for the vacuum. All done in 20 mins tops.

    • I wouldn't say 'surprisingly' since most underpay desperate immigrants.

  • I go to a place called Grand Auto Wash in Thornbury.
Their system is a tunnel wash and uses foam wash brushes so are guaranteed not to scratch the car and the technology is approved by all the major Euro brands. I've seen many Porsche's and high end Mercs and BMW's go through it so initially when I first used it, I thought it would be safe for my trusty Holden. :)
It does the BEST job (much better than by hand) especially in the wheel rims - clean as anything each and every time I go through.
I highly recommend you give the place a go - I did and got hooked so much so that I now have a car wash pass.
Single entry wash is $19 and includes a free use of their vacuums.
A monthly car wash pass is $48. So if you use it every second day, it is quite good value.
    Hope that helps.

  • We also love grand wash auto. The free vacuums are excellent too.
