oops, got carried away. I've been testing the product.

  • Good deal with th glasses!!

On special for $60 at BWS sans glasses. Don't place much value on the glasses.

at least after finishing the bottle and going "meh, should have got the 15yo", you have two glasses to cry into

      • so, buy glenfiddich 12yo, two glasses and get a couple of drams of Old Pulteney Buyers Remorse thrown in? Deal!

Mum asked me what I'd life from Duty Free a few years back, I told her a bottle of Glenfiddich would do (common, easy to find) and she came back with a bottle of 15 YO as it "looked nicer than the green bottle". I've never had the 12 YO since! She's gone overseas again so I've pushed my luck and told her a Glenfiddich 18, but I'll have a 15 if they don't have it and see what happens :)

        • There is/was a 15yo Distillery Edition and the 15yo Solera. I know what you mean, after a bottle of Solera , it is hard to go back to the 12yo. I, and many other commenters find the Solera better than the 18yo. I wasn't really impressed by the 18yo, or 15yo Distillery.

The Solera had so many flavours, vanilla, honey etc and all seperated by your tastebuds at different times. Turned me into a Whisky (profanity) for a week.

Not the best out there for the price..

$53.90 Last Christmas, $59.95 on Australia Day. Make your own mind up about the value of 2 glasses.

    • +1

Agreed, I've never paid more than $55 for Glenfiddich 12 yo if you time your buy well.

  • Out of stock

Nice bottle of scotch, but the glasses are worth nothing.

You are really paying $67 for the bottle of scotch only and 50c each for the glasses.

Just my 2c - If you love the glasses then I guess go for it. But the scotch itself is worth less, you will find it cheaper soon I am sure :) - Have bought it much cheaper on many occasions.

if you are in perth - $54.99 delivered

    woolworths - $60

    • -5

That is a different product, and in western Australia. Feel free to post your own state-specific deal. I think the neg is a little harsh

      • You don't have woollies in WA?

        • I never see qld woolies with alcohol

        • @blehgg: WA Woolies doesn't actually have alcohol, they just have a BWS next door.

        • @tantryl:

The only place I've ever seen it in-store was @ Jindabyne

Different product - hmm - fair point to argue
        - though I think most of us would be keener for cheaper scotch ( I suspect)

State specific - the woolies deal is not

        "Neg a little harsh"

In my mind - a neg is not an "attack" on the poster - it is merely and attempt on my part to draw attention to those who come to the post that there is a cheaper option elsewhere.
        As per - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

I simply went to boozle as I was not happy with this price - and I have offered 2 alternatives and used my vote so that people's attention will be drawn to them….

    • good find. I wonder how much it is in the airport duty free?

  • Glenfiddich 12yo is $60 at BWS or around $57 at Costco atm if you are just after the scotch on its own. Seems good value with the glasses included for $67 though.

  • I was in Costco Casula couple of days ago and they had the same gift pack around 55 or 56 dollars.

  • I bought a bottle for $56.90 delivered last week at https://www.boozebud.com.au/bestbud?utm_content=facebook&utm…. To get this price I used their 15% off first order coupon code.
