4G speeds were so bad that free data isn't even worth it for me. I'll stick to the good old fiber.

    1.2TB for me

    • I was thinking to use the free data. I really dunno what to download.
What do you use 1.2 TB for?

      • Games, movies, large discographies of music, stream NBA and NRL, update window files and stream Netflix. Set it up to start at 1am and go through to 11pm.

Apparently 2.6TB https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/576198-26-tb-of-documen… is where the quality information is at.

Eastern Culture said he was going to back up his 2TB library.

    Maybe he did?

    1.25TB here. Didn't reach 1.5TB.

… And now I understand why I could barely check my email with the congested network.

I pay for a Telstra mobile voice service. The network goes down and I can't get what I'm paying for. They offer me free data on a day that suits them. I don't want/need DATA from them (I have an all-you-can-eat Optus cable network connection at home). Doesn't seem fair compensation to me. Extend my expiry date by a couple of days instead!

I was going to enter the very same comment
We have unlimited ADSL with another provider
What use is a free data day when it was phone calls we couldn't make?
Definitely should be a credit on your contract for the lost days or free days for pre paid

And this is why I am with optus. No network drop outs and im not paying for some import technician to kill my access.

Anyway my work phone is through telstra but im not ready for that commitment yet.

Good effort made by all to download the Internet.

  • Not mentioned above, but suggested elsewhere - dual SIM mobiles supporting long expiry voice or broadband option (VoIP). $15 starter kits make for a long life switch backup, or 179 a year gets full metro and 3G service to beat outages, slowdowns.

lte for notepad, tab & phone, and unsurpassed uplink in pre-Fiber home, applies. I'd churn for data day or window available to any provider.
