Lindt Gold Bunny (100 Grams) $0.45 Each at Target | Instore

1680

Happy late Easter all,
Original price for these is $5.50 pre-Easter - I saw them for $1.55 at Big W yesterday but 45 cents is just insane.
Instore only. Found in Emerald, Queensland (30+ left) could be nationwide but will await confirmation.

Enjoy!

    • Added. QLD. Thanks

I'm pretty sure he was in a state of hunger

    • ZERO available at Target Macquirie Park (that I could find)

  • +3

I read it as a 100 Lindt Bunnies for 45 cents.

    • +1

I've cleared it up for you

      • +2

Thanks, you didn't need to. Just wishful thinking on my part. However, I've seen stranger things happen on Ozb.

  • +1

    These won't last long!

    • +1

Why - only a few days until the Use By date?

      • Chocolate lasts for a very long time (much longer than their listed use by date) if stored properly.

  • Any other states?

    • +1

I highly doubt any other store would have them at this price

  • Flavours? BIG W should price match

    • They only had milk chocolate here

  • My local target pulled all their lindt bunnies off the shelf the day after Easter.

    • +1

That's what they are instructed to do by Lindt.

      • +4

And do what? Ship them back to lindt or throw them in the bin?

        • I'd like to know. It happens too quickly.

Controlling availability like that feels like price fixing, and therefore that consumers are being screwed.

        • @justtoreply: not too different to what Apple does with their devices, but they aren't perishable (one could argue that though)

        • +2

Put them back out next January…

      • Highly doubtful the store would have sold them through

        • Maybe someone knows someone with a $2 shop, they would still sell like half price chocolates after Easter

  • +7

    Hop to it, everybody!

    • +1

Those who spend a lot of time looking but still miss out will be hot and cross.

  • +2

These bunnies are all just staring at me.. I find it difficult to smash one up and eat them now

    • +1

Think of them as pests which must be absorbed, er, destroyed.

    • -1

You see, they see, you need calisi.

  • +1

Is this just the milk chocolate bunny for sale, or are there a mixomatosis of them?

    • +10

Just milk. News of the others was hare-say

      • +5

I seriously thought for like 5 seconds, wait that's not how you spell hearsay.

    • +1

Are these bunnies 10/80 or some other quality??

  • +3

put two of them together and leave them overnight to multiply. apparently they breed like rabbits.

    • what if two males overnight?

      • +3

        what if two males overnight?

Then you get 2 "Choc Top Bunnies"…

  • Insanity!

    300! In my belly! SPARTA!

  • I feel there's gonna be a few Target employees with pimples in a week or so!

  • Good deal. I bought one just on Saturday at Big W for $1.47 or something close to that.

    • +2

Check the barcode. Buy 2 from target, return 1 to Big W for refund and keep profit and Bunny.

      • Profit?

        • +1

          Buy 2 from target (-$0.90)
          Return 1 to Big W +$1.47

Result is $0.57 back on card of choice (the profit) and an extra bunny.

        • @whitty:

How would that work? You'd still have had to buy one from big W for the receipt to be able to return?

        • +1

@Craze: GreenGuava already bought one on Saturday.

        • +1

          @whitty:

          1. Spend $1.47 @BigW for 1 bunny
          2. Spend $0.90 @Target for 2 bunnies
          3. Return for $1.47 @BigW
          4. Result = you still spend $0.90 for two bunnies

          No profit

        • +1

          @chinezejew:

Not for GreenGuava, he has already made the initial purchase. You're looking at it as though he knew the 45c bunnies were coming.

If you like, GreenGuava is already @ -$1.47 and +1 Bunny. He buys 2 bunnies @ $0.45 putting him @ -$2.37, returns one to Big W for a refund and he is now -$0.90 and has an extra Bunny. This puts him $0.57 ahead of where he currently is, and with an extra bunny for his efforts.

EDIT: Of course the original +1 Bunny is likely to be converted to diabetes already, or he could just return that one.

        • @whitty:

money spent last week or today is still money spent.
GG has not profited in $.
GG is only able to purchase the bunnies at $0.45.
GG still takes $ out of pocket to obtain bunnies.

(i think profit is used lightly in your original comment)

Although GG has profited in more chocolate at a lower cost

[i am trying not to chuckle too lough as i type this out]

        • @chinezejew: reducing losses has the same effect as increasing profits.

        • @chinezejew:
OzBargain, where the real intellectuals come out to play :P

For the record, I can understand both arguments, though the way I see it, I wouldn't necessarily call it "profit", but more a way of taking advantage of the lower price after the fact.

I guess as an individual, there is a net benefit to me as an individual by doing as whitty suggests, however it wouldn't leave in a better position in direct comparison to others who purchased the chocolate at 45c each to begin with.

My 2 cents (or should that be 45 cents? :P)

        • +1

          @whitty:

if GG only returns to BigW and doesn't buy any chocolate GG is profiting $1.47

        • @chinezejew: As mentioned I wouldn't expect GG to still have the original bunny purchased on Saturday in his possession, having turned it into diabetes already. He can't return something he has already consumed.

  • none at Southport Qld.

  • None at Adelaide Pulteney St / Rundle St.

    • "marked as dupe"

  • +2

(Thankfully) there were also none at Bourke Street Melbourne..

Otherwise I might have bought too many.

I think I found the stand that they were on but had been replaced with other Lindt chocolates.. At full price.

  • None at Camberwell (I was there last night looking for malteaser bunnies)

  • none at Eastgardens & Broadway NSW >.<"

  • None @ Hurstville and Rouse Hill. Travelled right across the entire city looking for these :)

  • +1

Myer has reduced their easter chocolate stock by 75%. 100g lindt rabbits become $1.48 and the 200g is $2.98. No where as good as this deal, but im sure this would be out of stock by now.

    • Yeah, all my Target had was crappy easter basket kits.
