I went to download Samsung Smart Switch and noticed they are offering a free Samsung USB host cable.
Just go to the Samsung Smart Switch website and select Android or iPhone as your device, then under that will be a link to order a free USB cable.
It does ask for your IMEI number so I'm guessing it's for Samsung device owners only.

I have Galaxy Tab A Wifi only. I cannot find any IMEI number in (Setting/About Device/Status).
I can only find Serial Number.
Any idea?
It doesn't have an IMEI because it's not a cellular device.
Used my 3 year Samsung S3 IMEI which I sold on feeBay lol.
Lets see I also entered Samsung S2 one back in 2012.
Real Samsung IMEIs. I no longer Samsung user hahahaha

The instruction manual and package calls it USB host. I thought that was the same thing?

Never got the one I ordered. Not worried since I managed to get an On-the-Go (OTG) micro USB to USB cable for $2 at Dick Smith.
I got one the next day, that's why I posted the deal. It's probably because they had 16000+ clicks over 2 days!

I got mine too! However, it was the correct address… with the wrong name on it.

I got mine. $7.45 postage cost for Samsung. Lol, feel bad for them because I have no idea what to use this cable for.
You can use it to connect all the sorts of things you would plug into a PC USB slot: flash drives, etc. Even a digital camera. I did that and to my delight it asked me if I wanted to open Camera Downloader to handle it. I backed up my camera pictures that way. Very handy when traveling.
