Gigabyte Aorus Thunder K7 Cherry Red Mech K/B $94 (Normally ~ $150) @ MSY Deal of The Day

100

Just like the K3 a couple months ago that was selling for $59, only now you get the keypad attachment for the extra ~$30.

Starts tomorrow, ends friday

I bought the k3 from last time, its a quality mechanical keyboard without too much flim flam. Blue LED backlighting, Caps/Scroll locks turn red when you press them. Volume and backlight brightness scrolls included

  • I bought the K7 from MSY last week for $104. Nice keyboard. Still pricey, just for the feeling.

Bought it last time for $104 as well!!!!grrr…

My first mechanical keyboard so I'm not sure how it is compared to others. But the price is good for a Cherry red, full size keyboard (or can be compact) with wrist rest. I like the tactile feedback and noise level, but you don't have to bottom out the keys so it can be really quiet.

The magnetic is strong enough to hold the keypad attached to the main board. Wrist rest is hard plastic, matt finish but it still feels ok and not slippery. It is a bit hard to see the number on the keypad as they all have G1-G20 labelled with backlit.

Overall I'm happy with it. It is expensive at $150 as it doesn't have features like USB passthrough, audio ports, rgb etc…but under $100 its decent.

  • I got the same last week too! grrr…. Great keyboard for the price. I love how you can remove the numpad to free up space between kb and mouse.

  • I bought this, OMG the box is huge as.
This is the improved version of Gigabyte's Aivia Osmium
Red switches feel good but after typing on it the first time yesterday I realised I'm a data entry man at heart and the different layout of the numpad isn't for me.

Normally the numpad have large 0 (insert), Plus and Enter keys. With the K7, you get 16 small keys instead.
Think I might bite the bullet and sell this board this weekend.

  • Can you move the macro keys to the left?

    • Yes, the numpad also comes with a separate USB cable to connect it alone without the bigger keyboard block.
