i got mine but some should note

Best before date is June 2010.

Please note that this product has a Best Before date, not an expiry date. Goods that are past their Best Before date are still safe to consume; a Best Before date is merely an indication of when the goods should be consumed by if you want to eat it at its best quality. A ’Use By’ or ’Expiry’ date means the goods are not suitable for sale or consumption.

  • Wonder how much 'kick' is still left in these.

  • Awesome, ordered

  • Ordered.

Sunglasses available today ('Electric') @ $20 look OK - so I've ordered them too.

    • so you order V and sun-glass? do they combined postage?

      • Yes. total postage of $6 for 2x Sunglasses plus the case of 'V'.

  • V Lemon is a discontinued line i believe, hence the heavy discounting.

    • Discontinued due to number of fatalities induced i hope :P

      • so u want to die? or do u want people who drink v to die?

    • +4

When the original Mother was being discontinued, I picked up 8 4-packs at Woolworths for $8. LEGENDARY.

      • The Original Mother taste was foul, wouldn't have taken them if they pay me

        • I loved it, being able to experiment with it while bartending we found some pretty good ways of drinking it

  • I find the taste disusticating.

    • +16

Not as disusticating as some people's spelling these days.

      • Lmao, how can anyone misspell 'disgusting' as bad as 'disusticating'? It was screaming out "INTENTIONAL." Didn't think anyone would bite, but thanks to those who did, it gave me a good laugh :D

        • +2

          Nice cover story ; )

          • @swimmingtoad: Misspelling so bad that even Google cannot come up with a single suggestion, and the only site that it can find that has this misspelt word when you do a search is this very page, suggests to you that this is a cover story? Come on dude, see it for yourself, google 'disusticating'. lol

          • @swimmingtoad: I know right? The time I slipped down the stairs on a rainy day and ate ^#$%, that was totally intentional too.

            • -2

@noyesmaybeok: dude if you can somehow fall down and eat ^#$%, regardless of whatever your actual intent was, you have bigger problems to worry about than peoples' spelling :)

              • +2

@cysp: dude just learn how to spell, admit you made a disusticating mistake and move on

                • @wozz: lol learn how to follow an argument first, and then learn how to come up with your own to refute mine. At the moment all you're doing is begging the question: "you made a spelling mistake," "how do you know it wasn't my intention?" "well, because you made a mistake, go learn how to spell." This is not primary school XD

    • -2

I actually tried to goggle "disusticating" thinking you might be using highly intellectual word I've never heard off. But nope, you're just dyslexic.

      • +3

If you're going to beat up on other people's spelling (zhenjie), then at least make sure your own sentence has all correct spelling and grammer.

        • +3

In case you're wondering what I mean: "an highly intellectual word" (or "a" depending on who taught you - British say the former, Americans the latter) and "Google" not "goggle" - unless of course you meant you were looking for the word on the bottom of a swimming pool and didn't want to get chlorine in your eyes?

          • -4

@puckman: Didn't realise we had comedians here in Ozbargain. So funny Mr. idiot. lol

            • +6

@zhenjie: My friends just know me as "Idiot", no Mr. required!

          • +3

@puckman: Oh and how did I miss "heard off"? OK I'm starting to think your post was a joke making fun of people who make fun of people?

            • -1

@puckman: looks like you are really studying my comment in great detail. its good to see you are infatuated with me puckman. pretty sad (for you), but I'll take that as a compliment lol.

            • @puckman: Thats what zhenjie was intending, thanks for the laughs

        • +1

          It's 'grammar'

      • I can't find gullible in the dictionary.

    • psychologist + disusticating = good lord!

  • +2

im sure they come with enough preservatives to out live thier best before date by several decades so i wouldn't worry about that.

  • so cheap but 24 are too many. and the casio looks ok -but maybe can get cheaper from ebay

  • I would get these but that's way too much sugar for me.

    Good deal though.

  • it's good deal, but with less than 2 months to go, no thanks

  • Just ordered, thanks for getting me addicted to V again… great find!

  • +1

    Good deal.

Seems they only have the one type of sunnies left which sucks.

I wonder if they shake them before they ship them or just let the delivery company do that work?! This is a carbonated drink right?

    • +2

If you shake it, it will just give it more energy.
They pressurize carbonated drinks, because according to Le Chatelier's Principle (Chemistry) a system will shift its equilibrium to minimize the effect of the change imposed onto the system.
Carbonated water (=) Carbon Dioxide + Water
Supposed to be an equilibrium arrow but I can't.. put it in.
When You put energy into it, the equilibrium will shift right. Eventually the extra energy will escape out of the system (your can of V) in the form of energy (probably small amount of heat) into the surroundings.
If you don't believe me that carbonated drinks are pressurized, go into aldi or somewhere to get a 1.25L bottle of cheap carbonated drink.
Try squeeze the bottle without it being opened.
Then open it (purchase it first.. don't be a fag)
      And then close the cap.
      Now try squeeze it.
It should be much easier to squeeze, if you want, get a second unopened bottle and compare how easy it is to squeeze each one.

Anyway, unless it's been opened, if its been shaken, just leave it for a while and it wont blow up on you upon usage.

"Then open it (purchase it first.. don’t be a fag)"

      • rumbaar was joking.

and plus, degassing of the carbonated drink from shaking has nothing to do with heat generated from shaking.

its the regions of low pressure created when you agitate the liquid. when this pressure in the wake of turbulence goes below the partial pressure of the dissolved CO2, CO2 undissolves and forms the bubbles.

however it takes much longer for the CO2 to redissolve once agitation stops. thus the pumped up feel of the bottle after you shake it. if you leave it for a few hours or days, CO2 redissolves to reestablish equilibrium and the bottle is ready to be shunked again.

        • Yes Rumbaar was joking … either way I'm sure you get a nice fresh can/s on delivery …

.. and a negative rep, really?!
