Looking for a Good 1440p Capacitor Dashcam

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good 1440p dashcam that runs on capacitor (we all know how hot it is in Australia in summer… so I try to avoid having batteries dashcams). I checked a few reviews for 1080p dashcams like G1W-CB 1080p offered here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/242929 or A118C and I can't really see number plates when the car is running. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated thank guys!

  • What's your budget?

    • Initially i did not want to spend over $50-60 for my first dashcam but seeing both G1W-CB and A118C have issues and saw Dome D201 (battery model) offered in the same post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/242929 by monty.melb (in the comment section) for $99USD. So I'm willing to spend that much or a little bit more (up to $150 AUD) if for a capacitor model

  • I had a look on G1W-CB and A118C youtube.
I agree its hard to see number plates unless its very close..

I recon increasing resolution won't help much if they don't have a good lenses.

    • this D201 http://www.everbuying.net/product1103807.html looks pretty clear on youtube even at nights but its a battery model and I could see number plates even for moving cars (useful for hit-and-run situations)

    • thanks Cheap Charlie I had exactly the same thought when looking into both G1W ( corrupted files when shutting down) and A118C (blurry). I will check out Street Gardian thank you!

  • What would a higher resolution vs a higher fps do for PQ as I am also looking at upgrading from a blackvue dr400g-hd?

  • Old post, I've a philips adr720 & so far good. Nice night view.
